Beating "Free bird" for the first time in Guitar hero II.

Oh, and beating Lou in guitar hero III and then playing Through fire and flames on top of that mountain. It was plain awesome.

Many a thing in Saved Films.
How could I forget? Just the other day me and my mates spent over an hour rewatching 22 minutes of gameplay only to get 5 screenshots and 30 seconds worth of clips out of it. Always stuff to sit back and admire after a multiplayer game of Halo 3.

Several from Half-Life 2:

Fighting through Ravenholm, going down into the mine and emerging into the sunlight. After the horror that was Ravenholm, that train station was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen.

After killing two gunships at once. EAT IT, COMBINE BITCHES!

Pretty much all of The Citadel.

Halo 1

Early n the second level, rescuing the first group of marines. I watched a dropship come in and it went through the sun. That stopped me dead and I spent the next 5-10minutes just running around looking at things against the sun. It's the perfect and subtle use of bloom you see.
Sadly 2 and 3 over used it to the point of ridiculous, but that little touch made the game for me.

Setting off a chain reaction of Grunt Birthday Party kills is pretty damn sweet.

I really enjoyed the cut scenes in Smash Bros.

I definitely had to agree with klc0100 about that one MGS4 cut scene. We were all at a friends house playing the game but since I didn't understand what was going on at first, I just fooled around with his computer during the cut scenes. The ninja fighting the robots is one scene that caught my attention.

In Kingdom Hearts 2, when you beat the somewhat boring and dragging-its-feet first section of the game as Roxas. He walks into the stasis room where Sora and friends have been sleeping, only to finally come to terms that everything, this supposed life he lived, was a digital recreation to keep him busy until his "real" self could be restored.

Having just played Kingdom Hearts and thought the story was family-friendly and cheery-happy, I had to sit back and go "Man, that was fucked up."

That would be when the credits started rolling in COD 4, after beating it on veteran diffaculty, which reduced me to tears more than once.

id have to say kotor when the twist happens. i was really impressed and it had me on the edge of my seat. i still think its one of the best plot twists in a video game yet

I've played the game, but could you put "spoiler alert" or something when you're about to give away a major twist to the games story? Figured that was elementary at this point, but apparently not.

As for me.. off the top of my head, any of the couple times I've managed to get two headshots with one bullet in counter-strike, particularly with the Scout.

Another one was when I was playing Rainbow Six Vegas and when at the end you either shoot or don't shoot the copter, I chose the shooting part and when it finally showed the copter crash I just sat there and said "Damn" I left the game running and after the credits. I saw a hand come out of the wreckage and I yelled "Sequel!"

The most recent, I guess, would probably be the nuke scene in CoD4. Awe inspiring, if way sombre.

The most recently played, since I'm grinding for the "7 billion by 7/7" thing, would be the landing of the Forward Unto Dawn in Halo 3... the pressure wave hits and blows all the battlefield debris before it, then this cliff of metal sweeps in overhead to hover over you, and then the lifts drop down with the tanks and Warthogs while infantry march out and form up into squads... epic.

Fair enough, done. I didn't even think about that - Figured that for a five year old game it wouldn't be needed. My bad.

Halo 3 matchmaking. Noscope whilst jumping then turn round another noscope. It doesn't get better than that. Would have recorded it if I didn't die the second after.

Discovering the identity of Overlord Zenon in Disgaea 2, and then starting a new cycle. It's all business as usual, until you realise why the summoning ritual in the opening chapter didn't work. That was a fantastic moment. The plot twists in that game were handled wonderfully.

Can't think of something that more people would recognise right now.
