I feel nerdy everytime I pick up a game I haven't played in a couple of months or years, and I can still remember every quest, sidequest, the entire plot, and most of the dialogue. This goes for WoW especially.

I had an in depth conversation with my brother about World of Warcraft, regarding Armor Pen. , Resilience and Arena Ratings. Then I realised that my girlfriend was giving me the "What the hell are you talking about?" stare.

I can quote full scenes of "The Simpsons", something I do at work very often when my co-workers accidentially say something that reminds me of an episode. So the disapproving looks I get from colleagues remind me that I may be an incredibly nerdy person.

Also, I sometimes quote the peasants from Warcraft 3... "ready to work".

I often do little references to things like games or books when I talk (Especially PTerry), though most people don't see that I'm referencing something unless they already know it, as I use them when they fit the situation. Though maybe they'll think I'm saying something in an odd way but it's always understandable.

I also do a lot of DnD jokes. For example, one day in class the teacher asked me a question, I didn't know it and he said "You should've done more studying!" and I replied "Nah, I just failed my intelligence roll". The 2 other people in the class who played dnd with me laughed pretty hard at that, I got in trouble. I will also comment on other people with similar things, like "I could use a charm spell right now.." or when I surprise someone "Failed your initiative roll?". I find this very amusing, though a tad sad sometimes :p

Earlier this afternoon when I saw this image, and sadly got the joke and proceeded to laugh my ever loving ass off. For those wondering, this is the moment when you realize you've been watching waaay to much Star Trek

I just want to say that this is hilarious, thank you.

I do this, only with Orcs. "Work work.."
"Me not that kind of Orc!"

When stuff goes wrong, and I end up calling for help in the Age of Empires 2 voice... "Monk! I need a monk!"

Even sadder, all my friends now do it, even the ones who have never played an RTS game...

Whenever I reference conversations I held on the Escapist to real friends.
I do this all the time.

I feel like a nerd all the time, especially around my family. I make references (to games, movies, memes, whatever) that my nerdy friends would get, but I always get the "Oh Christ where did we go wrong?" stare from my parents and the "I have no idea what just happened" stare from my non-nerdy friends. Around my nerdy ffiends, though, I'm one of the witty ones!

when I state an opinion then someone argues back with completely irrelevant information that has nothing to do with the subject/discussion.

One time, I was playing PvP on WoW in Arathi Basin, and I yelled out, "TAKE THE STABLES!". Silly at first, but then evryone on vent started to say it when we attacked any area. Now I use it on every online game. The stables must always be taken.

well, I'm, currently reading A Brief History of Time for pleasure. i would assume that counts as nerdy.
I did that!

I reference a lot of movies and games, and tend to quote MC Frontalot.

And I realized exactly how nerdy my life is on Friday: I was at a Magic tournament, sitting and playing Chrono Trigger DS, wearing kitty ears, and drinking Mountain Dew. The only way it could've been nerdier is if I was eating Cheetos (cookie for the sort of reference).

I used to be able to recite every line of that episode of The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy where Fred Fred Burger is on jury duty. I watched that episode so many freaking times it wasn't even funny.

When me and a friend pretend we are an Eldar and a Space Marine, who both attend college, respectively and have a 2 hour long conversation in those roles.

When my muffin is crumbling to pieces I shout, in reference to Star Trek, "This muffin is losing its structual integrity!"

When I ordered my Vote Saxon T Shirt. Then wore it whilst listening to the Soundtracks to the New Seasons of Doctor Who.

When I reference movies and video games in general conversations.

When I make grammar jokes or make fun of someone for not knowing how to use a semi colon.

When I theorise with a friend about upcoming Doctor Who episodes.

When thinking of alternate character interpretations for my favourite Star Trek or Doctor Who characters.

When I spend 8 consecutive hours on TvTropes.

When I realised that Mary Poppins is a Time Lord and came up with a huge theory supporting the idea.

When I bought Pokemon soundtrack songs and sing along to them whilst possibly dancing to them.

When I watch Sailor Moon and have the urge to buy Digimon and Pokemon DVD collections.

When I play Monopoly by myself.

When I create a Civilization 4 game and name all my cities after Battlestar Galactica Colonies.

When I realise I've had a crush on Goku from DBZ since I was about 8.

When I create elaborate fantasies about how my life would be if I lived in the world of my favourite game/movie/etc.

I'm sure there's more.

Well, i have hour long conversations with myself about games; including what games are coming out, what they will be like, what kind of games i want to see, how it would be cool if gaming and reality merged (aka, games in real life or something like that.) yea.

I don't know if anyone here watches madness combat, but I'm in a crew at newgrounds where we discuss the series. If you do watch it, you'll know why that seems odd.

I can memorize full scene's from a lot of different things including all of this:

and this:

and generally any Awesome toon.

I'm constantly telling people I know to go see a video on youtube.

When I'm bored, I'll sometimes think of what I would do if a bunch of people attacked me right in that instance, add in a back story, and try and think of a why to counter attack. This becomes kind of funny when I'm in church.

And i quote movies that I have never seen before and probably never will see.

I quote from movies, video games and TV shows. I memorized the entire emergency number from "The IT Crowd" by heart, just in case.

When I find myself putting game related phrases into non game related things for fun, for example, the other day I was watching "Underworld: Rise of the Lycans" and during combat I'd say silly things like "Skill in crossbows increased by 1" or "ress please!" while laughing but no one else got it...

oh and one time I was in a car with a friend, saw he was going over the speedlimit and said "STOP! you've violated the law!" *facepalms* id been playing far too much oblivion that week...

Still I'm proud of my nerdish leanings, just wish more people got it when I acted like that hehe
