Well I had one a couple of months ago I had just gotten my new phone and it was really annoying that it had little to no memory (it was a crappy phone) my mum then suggested that I use the memory card in her phone I then took out the card and simply stared in amazement at it I originally thought it was gonna be fairly sizable but all it was, was some tiny paper thin chip that I had to be super careful with to avoid breaking it put all the technological advances of the past couple of years into perspective and whenever I think about it,it still impresses me.

My PSP 8-gig memory card still frightens me a little. It's so.. Fragile.

But it was the new really damn tiny hearing aids that made my jaw drop, along with most other medical technology advancements.

When peer-to-peer torrents really got going we once had a race to see who could get a DVD quality film faster, this was a few years ago when the net wasn't so blindly fast.

Laptop + internet vs. Me + car

I almost made it but parking took the time out of me.

I'm always being amazed by technology. I just read this interesting article [http://www.reuters.com/article/technologyNews/idUSTRE57F1K720090816] the other day. To sum it up, IBM is using DNA architecture to make the next generation of microchip.

This just blew me away when I first saw it:

Just look at it! It's movements looks almost organic, like when that guy shoves it with his foot and it just right's itself up without falling, and also when it is able to keep it's footing even on slick ice.

A few months ago my little sister bought an R4 card for her DS. When I just looked at that thing and then looked at a floppy disc, I just WOWed. A little, square plastic card, barely a centimetre in length and with and able to hold 4GB's of space, which is almost 4000 of those big floppy discs. I was simply amazed.

Also the idea that we evolved in a couple of million years, but went from the first few hops in the air to friggin' space flight in just 50-60 years amazes me.

One technological breakthrough that has amazed me is how bloody self righteous iPhone users become simply buy buying a product! They didn't invent the bloody thing! They just purchased it!

(dry ironic humour, n the hope that it make people laugh. Please hold the flame war)

Every time I read about nanotechnology. Seriously people, machines the size of cells! And they can fix anything what might be wrong with your body, if the development continues.

My first pocket calculator, during college.

Having grown up with Commodore 64, I had a healthy respect for the growth of computing power in home computers.

But to hold in my hand a calculator that had as much RAM memory as the Commodore 64, weighed around only 5%, had more ROM, both could be programmed and the calculator cost around 70? in today's money in comparison to the 1500? my parents paid for the C64, after company subsidiary was deduced from the prize.

And this development happened in around 15 years. That's when our unprecedented technological development hit home. Thank you Semi-Conductors!

Pretty much everything I come in contact with every day. Cars, trains, my TV, computers, consoles, MP3 players, games, etc.

It's amazing what you can do with technology these days.

My washer and dryer. I lived with old people that made us do it by hand. I realize how much the W&D have changed society. We don't have to spend 8 solid hours washing a family of 7's clothes every other day.

It was horrible. I thank the man Jesus every time I use a washer and dryer.
