Dragon age origins....

......you know what? I wanna be an ELF!

several hours of being a human noble down the drain....

or anyway game "nope....face doesnt look right" worst offender being mass effect
Same here; I gave up playing a few playthroughs of ME2 because my character's face was a monstrosity; pity I had to replay like 15 minutes each time for goodness sake!

Ran into a game-breaking bug in the last two hours of Kotor II my first playthrough. That was... painful.

This. I've spent a lot of time working on faces in ME2 only to have it turn out awful once you actually see it in action.

In wind waker I had got to the final dungeon, I only had two hearts left and no potions, then I got to the room near the start of that dungeon that has two black knights in. I could not kill them without dying, so I just gave up on that game even though I really didn't want to.

This came up as I'm playing through Fire Emblem (Sacred Stones).

No revives, nothing. So whenever someone falls in battle, I find myself restarting the entire chapter, just so I don't have to see them die.
Glad I'm not the only person to do this. Whenever I find out I could have recruited that person it usually gets a "Aww shit!" outta me.

Other than that, Deus Ex: Human Revolution gets that some what from me. I like going through and doing stealth takedowns, either using the melee or the stun darts. Whenever I get thrown into a huge fire-fight I'll usually reload and try again.

Did it before in the Tai Young Medical building when those two robots are wondering around in the Hanger Bay. I reloaded to put points into robot hacking just to get past them without blowing them up, which they proceeded to do to each other anyways after I flipped them to enemies.

I think I restarted Mass Effect five or so times within the first few hours of gameplay.

I'll be female Shepherd! No, wait, her voice is annoying.
I'll be an Engineer! No, wait, they're wiping the floor with my flimsy body.
I'll be a Soldier! No, wait, this is kind of boring.
Shit, I didn't recruit Wrex, NEW FILE!

Two cases of Mass Effect, one where I accidently wooed Liara in ME1 and I was working on a file for ME2 were I could get Tali, God damnit, why can't I be nice to ME women without them jumping all over me?
Haha, same here. I ended up getting Ashley by doing nothing. I always had her in my squad -- but it was because she was so good at combat. I defended her in a conversation with Tali -- but that was because I didn't want to be in relationship with Tali. I spoke to her a few times after mission -- but I did the same with everyone else.

I saved her from the suicide mission -- but that was because she was such a valuable squadmate compared to Kaiden.

And then, right where you start the mission of jumping inside that cloud of stardust, bam, we suddenly and randomly had sex.

I wish it was this easy in real life.

Whenever there is a stealth sequence, I usually restart if I get caught. This is for the games where you can either sneak past them or have yet another boring shootout.

Usually when a face ends up looking like ass, and I end up having to make a brand new one, or in dragon age when I want to switch the origin story after 7 hours. Ugh

When one of your highly trained Hammerlords decides to go berserk because you accidentally crushed his cat under a bridge.

Losing is fun... Sigh

That moment in every Elder Scrolls game that you realize the skills that looked good on paper are completely useless in the actual game.

Wind Waker. I was doing that Nintendo Gallery thing, trying to get all the statuettes on the very first playthrough instead of the second. Found out later on that I couldn't complete the Dragon Roost room since there's this one obscure nobody that disappears forever when Medli is taken to the Earth Temple. That's, like, 3/4 of the way through the game. I was rather pissed, having to start from the top.

I had one monstrosity where Shepard's eyelids where inside her eyesballs!!! She was always staring, even when supposed to be unconscious at the start of the game!!!

Currently playing Skyrim. The bloody Greybeards glitched on me so I can?t unlock Ro or continue on the main quest and nothing seems to fix it. My last possibly ungiltched saves is 7 hours earlier so I think I?m just going to start again. I was feeling a bit disconnected from the plot with my current character anyway. As a bosmer there really doesn?t seem to be much reason to be involved with the conflict or to even have come to Skyrim in the first place and using the console command to change race screws things up.
This is 3rd quest breaking glitch too and I also seem to get half conversations where only one of the NPCs is present. If this was not a damn PC steam game I would be considering returning it to the store and getting a refund. Hopefully I was just unlucky.
I tend to restart allot in RPGS, especially bioware RPGS.
Also I obsessively restart in DA:O. Never finished the game because half way thru something always bugs me about my character or the choices I?ve made and feel the urge to restart.
I also had a tendency to restart ME2 just to tweak my characters face but I can import and export faces now so I don?t have to restart but I still end up restating to change decisions because I've decided to tweek my shepards personality. I restarted ME1 just to change my characters background and some minor decisions even tho it really makes no difference.
I restart entire levels in games just because I didn't do something perfectly, and unnamed NPC who I could have saved died or if a stealth game because I got spotted.
