A Hermit's Cave
OK, petty gripe time. I'm about to finish Dishonored (damned good game and all).

Buuuuut, the money. I'm sure 8000 coins is the heaviest thing in my inventory at the moment, and for all many games use hammer space or a magic satchel, Dishonored, along with most other Bethesda games, does not. Yet the weight of the money isn't accounted for. And this game isn't even that bad with respect to how much money it throws at you, though that said, I must still be the richest man in Dunwall...(!)

Anyway, taking games like the ACII series which literally buries you in income, what's the point? So, should there be a cap on how much cash you can lug about? Or does everyone suddenly have lines of credit?!

Captcha - good work
Why thank you... happy ending here we come...

I dont see why there should have a cap at all...

That would just be annoying for the sake of begin annoying.

Well I know that in Far Cry 3 there's a limit to how much money you can carry. You craft better wallets in order to carry more money at one time. Is that the sort of thing you're talking about? In a game like Far Cry 3 I like that kind of thing. It doesn't really matter that if it's actually more realistic, but the end result is it feels realistic. In a game like Diablo or something however, putting a limit on how much cash you can carry around would be arbitrary and annoying.

Money Money Money!

It's raining money!

Money in games can be fun, but I agree that they sometimes could need a little balance.

The 3D Zeldas work the same way. Start on 99 then work to the hundreds or even thousands in some games.

I actually think the only reason they do that in zelda is so people don't grind money in the begining of the game to get overpowered stuff st the begining . Like buying a shield or whatever that cost 120 when the cap is 99 for example . I think it's more of a balance thing . To make sure players don't get certain items until they reach a certain point .

OT: i prefer the method of not giving players a lot of money and having us save up for stuff ,it makes saving my coins and buyin that one peice of gear so much more satisfying .
