noooo... monster hunter was too good for its own good. Its just hard to get into because you cant get very far if you SUCK. read any user review on gamefaqs or anywhere else. its constantly in the top 5 games at gamefaqs. Once you realize how to not suck at everything, its incredibly fun and addicting. me and my friend have over 150 hours logged in each. same with everyone else i know who plays it.

It was fun, but it got a lukewarm reception in the US and the server was closed last December, if I remember correctly. Kickass game, though. No one wanted to help me farm for Diablos stuff, though.

Monster Hunter Freedom 2 for the PSP sucks. It's seriously one of the worst games I've ever played.
Killzone was a broken piece of shit. I won't bother to state why because I'm too cool.

Killzone... Liberation? Because if you mean Killzone Liberation, the police need to be aware you are smoking some premium stuff and confiscate it for your own good. Killzone Liberation is one of the best games available on the PSP and even has a whole new level available to download for free.

In short, Killzone Liberation is awesome and his comment and my whole freakout had absolutely nothing to do with the POINT of this thread, so...

The first Monster Hunter Freedom was cool, it got very hard solo. Honestly never played the second one but I could only imagine that they improved upon it. If you find it for a reasonable price or you have a local Blockbuster that's renting it out, give it a try.

That's called obsession. It isn't a good thing.
no. WOW is obsession. Monster hunter is addicting because its combat revolves around SKILL, not just pouring hours into the game.

oh. and its easy to rack up hours because i can play it on the go. and yes... it is a damn hard game. your character doesnt lvl up or gain experience, to get anywhere, you need to learn how to play the game right.

the biggest complaint is that your characters move and attack too slow to kill anything, but once you get used to predicting and evading monsters attacks, taking down a plesioth solo is extremely satisfying. being patient is really the key. dont be surprised or pissed when it takes you 20-30 minutes to kill the yian kut ku the first time. watch some youtube strategy videos and try again.
