Go buy Killer7. Enjoy.

P.S. 2002 is not old school.
He never said it was, READ THE FUCKING POST

He said he got into gaming around 2002, so don't make the excuse that he likes half life because hes old school.
How can no one get that.
Because that isn't what he said.
Actually, it is, if you read the OP. I know this particular OP is hard to read, but if you try, that's what he said.

ha Marines and Space Marines FTW

I really don't see what else you can really innovate in the FPS genre. It's pretty much ALL been done. Or maybe I'm just not creative enough to see past another COD game.

The saddest thing about this topic is that 2002 is considered "old school"

In 1992 we wrote it "skewl"

My first console had three more bits than my age when I got it.

I'm glad you pointed that out, or I would have.

On topic: if you want more emphasis on story and characters and originality, play an RPG (Morrowind, Baldur's Gate, Mass Effect, etc.). If you want more emphasis on problem-solving and tactics, play a stealth game (Metal Gear Solid, Thief, etc.). If one genre starts to feel stale, branch out. Don't be afraid to try new things!

What more do you want? The point of a FPS is to see through the eyes of a gun wielding protagonist and kill the bad guys. Some have better stories then others, some have better graphhics. I sounds to me (although completely understandig what you were trying to say was difficult due to bad grammer) that you are just tired of the genre all together. Try something else.

Just to clarify, he's saying that he's not old school. He's saying that 2002 isn't. He's just pointing out that you shouldn't accuse him of only liking HL2 because he's old school, which he isn't.

And my first console (Sega Genesis, 16-bit.) had... Twice times as many? I've never thought about that. If only I could remember the year I got it in...

Edit: Unless you count my original Gameboy. I got that earlier, much earlier, and it had less bits...
