More Overwatch cheaters have been banned, and the salt is flowing.

I had a good chuckle the last time this happened and if this looks like its going to be a recurring thing I will continue to laugh at the stupidity of the banned hackers.

Thanks Overwatch, I'm certainly getting my moneys worth of entertainment from my ONE purchase of you.

Once again, good riddens. Their cries of anguish will be our victory hymn.

I love Blizzard's zero-tolerance policy. If you hack, you get banned. No "ifs", "ands" or "buts". No warnings, no second chances, you just lose your right to play the game.

Good job, Blizz. Keep it up.

They clealy didn't read the terms and conditions on why they are banned. In saying so, even not reading that, it only take common sense on why they are banned which it seen they don't have.

But I don't even play Overwatch.

In all seriousness, fuck 'em. If you cheat you get banned. It's not fair to those who don't cheat if you get rewarded.

As for that guy who got banned 7 times... Really? Sounds like he has more money than sense.

I love how "the hero of the cheaters" suggests that the "simple" way to get unbanned is by going through a process that requires rebuying the game AND the hacks. Dude's bought the game 8 times apparently (considering he's been banned 7 times)...some parents REALLY need to wrest their credit cards out of their children's hands...that or some adults REALLY need to find better things to do with their time and money than cheating at a game they continuously get banned from.

Seriously...you'd think these pricks would come to the realization that they just keep throwing money at the "evil mean cheat-banning corporation" that they apparently hate so much.

Also: Ban-Hammer Reinhardt (with special voice line for kills/assists: "Your tears SUSTAIN me!")...when, Blizzurd? :^)

Have we become so coddled with self-indulgence and 'play it your way' that literal cheaters, people who hack gamecode with bots and scripts, are now an oppressed minority deserving of legal protection and compensation?!

What's next? 40k players with loaded dice demanding rerolls?!
We are looking at posts from a cheats forum. Of course their little bubble will be filled to the brim of self indulging people that feel entirely justified to do everything in their power to win in online games, and feel they are wronged if the developers points them out and punishes them.

"Can you feel ze SCHADENFREUDE?!"

I love witnessing karmic smackdowns on little brats. I laughed hardest at the ones threatening to sue. Not even Jack Thompson would take up a case like that.

I for one detest Blizzard's model here. You shouldn't get permabanned from having a bit of extra fun in non-competitive (sure, in competitive matches it's actually more serious). I also dislike how they withhold essential game statistics, but that's only tangentially related. I also dislike how I bought the game anyway when it was 40% off... I'm weak.

Chuckles aside, i'm so paranoid of accidentally registering suspicious activity when playing overwatch i make sure to close any process i might have going for programs such as cheat engine (i often use it in a fair amount of sp games since the old tradition of cheat codes and console commands isn't as respected as it used to be).

It's all well to point and laugh, but also makes me wary in case i should ever find myself in this situation due to forgetting to religiously check in console manager if i have any open process that might be considered dodgy. Somehow i don't feel people would have much sympathy or even believe me if this was to happen :(

All I can say is that their tears taste delicious. In 18 years of gaming online I have yet to be legitimately banned for cheating. It's so easy to not get banned, just don't cheat and you're mostly good.

I honestly hope more of these come sooner, cause this does amuse me greatly.

Your "little bit of extra fun" comes at the expense of everyone who is forced to play with/against you. If you want that "little bit of extra fun" do it on your own time in your own offline single-player game (or only play with others who have agreed beforehand to play with cheats on).

I'm a giant proponent of cheats and mods IN SINGLE PLAYER. Once you bring that shit online, you're fucking with other peoples' good times.

tldr: single-player cheating: rock on, dude; multi-player cheating: you're[footnote]Generic 'you'[/footnote] a prick who deserves any/all punishments the devs feel like giving out

Personally I'm a big fan of the anti-cheat approach of putting cheaters in servers exclusively with other cheaters.

Same for people who BM.

Let 'em play in the swamp of their own making.

Yeah, like in that offline mode Overwatch doesn't have. I like the game itself, but Blizzard's system is detestable. I probably think this way because I'm a fan of real life sports and Blizzard is making a major push to bring Overwatch up as an esport. In sports you get "permanent bans" from match fixing and repeated doping. I just don't think some goofing around quite compares.

"fucking with other peoples' good times" There's a plethora of ways to do that, even accidentally. Just two days ago I was playing Mei and a teammate jokingly began to drill me because I "was too fat and didn't exercise enough". I played along, but imagine it had been an overweight girl playing instead of me. Actually I just wanted to share that because it was funny.

It should be a game between the hackers and the hack detectors. A game within a game, y'know. Blizzard is doing everything they can to deny that. It's their choice, but I don't have to like it. And Korean high elo is full of cheaters anyway.
