You hear a blaring alarm and flail around knocking things off your nightstand trying desperately to shut it up. It's that hellish time of day again, known only by the evil moniker of "morning."

That time of day where nobody should be forced awake, but are by cruel fate nonetheless.

You get up, shower, brush your teeth and hair, and maybe take a few minutes contemplating your navel on the can.

Hopefully not in that order, because post shower "alleviations" are just wrong! You may as well go back to bed, because you started your day backwards!

*Ahem*

by the time you've done all that, your ready for the most important part of mornings. The part that makes it all almost worth it.

Breakfast!

From a simple cup of coffee to the whole shebang of pancakes, bacon, and eggs. They all count and are all necessary to make things not seem unbearable for the next few hours...

At least for me anyway, though that might just be because I'm a glutton on par with that one ghost from Luigi's Mansion >.>

TL;DR Anyhoo, the point of this incoherent rambling is to talk about breakfast. What do you guys usually eat in the morning, and since I know too many people are forced to go without anything, what would you eat if Time and Sleepiness weren't such assholes?

Not that I'd eat it every day (it's pretty much the very definition of 'unhealthy'), but my breakfast of choice when not rushing around getting ready for work (or just feeling too lazy to make it) would be a Scotch breakfast.

Most of the time my breakfast actually ends up just being one or two cups of coffee :(

My breakfast during the week consists of a small glass of cold green tea & a handful of vitamins, I don't usually eat til lunch time.

On the weekend though it's a hole different story, eggs, fried potatoes, sausage & toast or pancakes with so many different things to put on them it gets confusing or even some oatmeal once in a while. Then we have the southern fav of biscuits & gravy & eggs & bacon & grits & all that other awesome stuff. I actually eat breakfast stuff for diner more often though.

Usually i have the following choices: Stay in bed for 10-20 minutes to try and get the will and motivation going to get a shower and hurry to work or have a rushed breakfast.

10 out of 10 times the bed wins.

When i am on vacation or when it is weekend i don't really eat breakfast either. I just eat whatever i want, when i am hungry. So i start the day with lunch at maybe 11:00 or 12:00 or later.

I really can't be bothered to wake up in time for breakfeast.
If i have time to eat, i can spend that time snoozing.
Same reason i shower in the evening, cause i know if i plan to do it in the morning, i'll end up sleeping slightly longer instead.
I have no appetite in the morning either, apart from nightshift time, where morning is just before i go to bed.

If i'm up and have more than 5 min for brushing my teeth and jumping in my clothes, i'll settle for a quick coffe and a ciggaret.

Had to go through 20-some capchas to find one i could read (no sound on work computer)
this doesn't seem worth the spam filter to me.
or maybe i'm just a robot... a pissed robot

I usually just have coffee and cereal like a boring person, if I'm working.

If it' a weekend, I might go nuts and have eggs and toast with marmite.
Delicious.

Damn it T0ad it's only Tuesday, the assigned day for silliness has not arrived yet!

I usually drink coffee in the morning as the thought of food that early typically revolts me. Around 2-4 hours after getting up is when I can stomach food. Then I'll just eat whatever; cereal, bacon, sandwich, canned soup, etc.

Well I'm a cunning devil, and a cunning devil with a kid to take care of on top of that.
Over the years I have devised an appropriately devilish system.
For work days I make breakfast the night before, then first thing when I get up & have roused the kid, I throw our breakfast in the microwave. Usually noodles with vegetables & a little meat.
Hey it's healthy and she eats it with enthusiasm!
Judge me if you want......

On weekdays I drink my breakfast - some Boost powder (it's a vitamin/protein supplement typically suggested for the elderly) or some Carnation Instant Breakfast, chocolate flavor, so at least I have something in me to fuel the first part of the day - especially if I know I won't have time for lunch, which I generally don't. On weekends - especially Sundays - I like to make eggs, bacon, and a toasted bagel with a glass of milk, followed by a cup of tea. Fresh fruit is nice too, if I have any about.

During the week I usually have a massive Cup of Coffee (Flavored French Vanilla Coffee with plenty of milk, no sugar), a Bagel with Pineapple Cream Cheese and a Banana.

On weekends usually it's the same for me unless I feel like having bacon... and I have bacon around the house to have, I've been trying to eat better. My wife likes to have Poached Eggs on Toast on the weekends though.

What would I eat if time and sleepiness weren't such assholes?

4 strips of Double Smoked Bacon, Sourdough French Toast w/ Maple Syrup and a Fruit Smoothy (Lots of Blueberries, a bit of Banana, a bit of Greek Yogurt and 1% Milk). Also I'd still have my coffee.

I prefer heavy breakfasts. Savory and sweet.

One of everything if possible.

Muffins, french toast, pancakes, waffles, or poptarts/toaster strudels for the sweet stuff.

Bacon or sausage or ham or even chicken for the meaty goodness.

Some kind of egg dish, preferably with cheese. And hash browns or home fries.

Any little combo of all of that is what I like to aim for.

Now, I don't generally have this all the time. Just not practical. So then I put it in a portable dealie. Breakfast sammies or burritos.

If I didn't know any better this sounds like a League of Injustice question, probably because it's a TOad Of Truth thread. I'll keep my guard up then.

Anyhoo, I like making myself a fried egg sandwich if I have enough time. If I'm short on time, either cereal, or pre-made breakfast things are good enough. Yogurt is pretty good once in a while. Milk or coffee are always welcome as breakfast drinks for me.

Though my favorite breakfast foods are, pancakes, fast food breakfast sandwiches, eggs of several types, waffles, hash browns, stuff you would find at restaurants.

Well... anything is better than the two shots of vodka I typically have. Or whatever I find laying around, just to get the bad taste out of my mouth from having it shut for 3-12 hours.

I'm the type of guy that will eat yogurt as a meal because I don't feel like chewing. It's not uncommon for me to skip one, or even two meals in a day, and usually that means breakfast. If I do bother, it's either cereal or something I can throw in the toaster or microwave, with orange juice, although that goes for lunch too.

Generally a toasted bread thing...be it simple toast or a bagel it's something like that. If neither are available then it's just some plain-ol' coffee (with lots of milk or cream and, sugar). Now that I've moved in with the girlfriend though the odds of my tea consumption have increased by the tens of thousands of a percent (...I don't want to think about that analogy) specifically Earl Grey because it's my favorite type of tea and it gets made often.

It's certainly more interesting than my "Drag yourself to the vending machine and get a caffeine rich coke so you don't fall over and die by getting caught in testing equipment because you fell asleep" usual version of breakfast XD

SHHHH! The vanilla threads are nothing like the evil ones I make!

Ignore the fact they're both simplistic question threads that try to avoid flames. >.>

1.) Making me cut out my own OP just so you could initially quote me is soooo evil!

...We did good work recruiting you!

2.) This is an indie thread son :p

3.) Does it have anything to do with working in a bakery? Or are you just really bad with mornings? XD

Breakfast isn't usually my thing. If I do need to eat it's usually a muesli bar in the car on the way to work. The only times I really sit down and eat breakfast is on my days off and then I would call it brunch because I'm eating around lunch time.

Thankfully coffee is in abundance at work otherwise my brain would leave me and move to another body.

Whatever is there from yesterday or just eggs, scrambled with whatever I had on the fridge that goes well with eggs, if I'm in a bad mood nothing, because breakfast annoys me and I'd rather not have it, but when I don't have it I can barely even walk when I get home from work.

1) You sure did >:D

2) No! You will assimilate!

3) Ehh no I'm just really shitty with mornings, I wake up groggy and need to piss and then get coffee and then I really don't even want to see food for a few hours. Nothing is worse for me than being made meals when I don't want them, such as breakfast.

The bakery thing certainly doesn't do the issue any favours though.
