Hlaalu is the best, if I recall correctly you get the most money the fastest, which is great for new characters.
Money is worthless, and if you need money for enchanting or glass armour, just go to mournhold with the amulet of admonition, paralyze & kill a few goblins with it, then sell their equipment off at massive profit.

(Shields worth 1000, clubs worth 3000 and swords worth 1000. And if I remember rightly, they respawn.)

Money= worthless
Strippers= have you seen morrowind's graphics? you'll cut yourself on what passes for curves in Vardenfell.

Leave your character auto-run in a corner.

Leave the computer an do something else for few hours.

Did anyone else hate other houses after joining one? I was pretty young when I played Morrowind, actually I was a kid and I just hated Telvani and Redoran. Jesus, that game is dope!

Uhm.. I don't have any advice since I just recently bought the game myself and most of it has been said but.. well I bought the GOTY version from Steam too and I have a problem: When I try to sell stuff to vendors it says "You can't buy that item" (May not be the exact text, but something like that.) tho some items still work. Is there any way to fix this or is it suposed to be like that and I just have to find the right vendor for selling a specific item? And if it is that way, are there any recommended places where you can sell most things?

(And please, remember to quote if you're answering me.)

Seeing as everone's giving advice, what would be a good weapon to specialise with? I'm planning a sneak/mage type.
bows are pretty interesting, but they use the fallout 3 style of gunplay. My suggestion is if you grab bows get archery as a major skill and the sign of the warrior (+10 to attack rating) plus be a wood elf and you'll hit pretty consistently.
If anything Fallout 3 is using Morrowind's style, since it's much much older.

Two tricks to make life easier (albeit, sneakily).

1) A few hours into the game, you've found a lovely shop full of things you want but can't afford. Step 1) Save game - title 'Pre-Dickery'. Step 2) Swipe literally everything you can carry then leg it outside. 3) Drop everything you own in a pile on the floor. 4) Let the guards catch you, they won't be able to confiscate anything because you're not holding it. 5) Pick everything up, check you've still got your balls attached. Step 6) Save game - much richer.

2) Kill one boring NPC in Balmoral, take over his house.

I second the second advice. I did that and I was less then half an hour into the game :D

There's a certain large Manor in Balmora where this guy only factors in one small Thieves guild quest, and even then he's optional (there's another target with the same goal).
