I need some help here. I wanted to install Morrowind, in order to finally do the last few things I always missed. I installed it to the standard install path with all the expansions. Then, I got my mods on it - the standard stuff: better bodies, the code patch, the unofficial patch. It didn't work, since something (I suspect the code patch) couldn't find the master file.
I looked around and I had already committed a big no-no - I shouldn't have installed it in the default path (which I couldn't know because it has been 1 1/2 PC's ago that I last installed Morrowind). So I deinstalled and then deleted any trace of it.

Now, Morrowind doesn't want to install anymore. It always thinks I should play it, which fails since there is NO TRACE of the game on my PC. Literally none. What the hell do I do now? I understand SOMETHING failed to work here, but I really don't know what.

(Also, what the hell is up with the new SOLVEmedia captcha's? I can't read a single one of them.)

EDIT: Just to make it clear - I know I can force the installer to open, but it always acts as if the game is already installed, only offering me the same install path I used last time. It doesn't let me change it anymore.

This is kind of a long shot, but does Morrowind still show up in the add/remove programs list in the control panel? I'm wondering if some vestige of it is still on your computer somewhere.

EDIT - does the list also show the unofficial patch? IIRC, that was a .exe that installed the ESM file and appeared in the add/remove program list since it was a separate installation.

You may also want to check your registry for any random leftover files. I had issues sort of along the same lines when installing FSX on a second HDD once. Somehow, it thought it was still installed.

I had other issues when I tried to install FSX addons in Lockheed Martins Prepar3d too. Reg entries can be a *****.

Try CCleaner and see if it can scrub out any unused or invalid entries.
