My friend once wanted to make a gamertag titled "30 Million Jews". That way, if you killed him, it would say "You killed 30 Million Jews". I know, it's pretty offensive, and I'll admit that I laughed at it, but it was a pretty obsurd GamerTag.

Also, I have a friend who made a GamerTag on my 360 called "Fat Ass", so whenever he runs me over in Halo 3, it says "You've been splattered by Fat Ass"

This has been said, but anything starting and ending in the letters Xx, xXx or anything along those lines. I can't stand anyone who uses a name like that. I make it a point to kill them in particular.

My current GT is [PubClub] - Dark Eagle. I've used the name "Dark Eagle" for many years, and people know me. [PubClub] is there because I'm in the PubClub. Simple as that.

I think I met someone on the Halo: Reach beta called GangstaRapper. He kept trying to sprint into Needler fire. It didn't go well for him.

If I do recall, I've dominated quite a few "Gangsta's" online, you'd think there hard time on the streets would have given them some experiance in shooting, fighting, etc.

Shooting sideways doesnt count.

Honestly, I don't remember the ones that are tons of numbers or are a dime a dozen. The funny ones are pretty memorable though. Seeing that somebody just shot '1000 kittens' or 'his own mother' is always giggle-worthy. Also, every so often I'll see a name that makes me wonder how early that user signed up. I once played a game of L4D2 with a "Chicago Ted"...all I could think of was how long ago he must've snapped up that name before everybody else tried it. I asked him, and it turns out he got it around a week after L4D2's release! I guess nobody bothered to try it?

i had "pepe le scrotum" for a while but that got banned about two months in. i actually ended up getting a letter on xbox live saying something along the lines of "i have reported your name cause it is inappropriate for something that everyone can see, including my kids" i say bullshit to that. five minutes after i get banned and try to find a new name, i figure out that ASSBLASTER69 is an actual name. how the hell is that ok but scrotum isn't?

Just like on forums, it doesn't matter what name you have. It's whether it A) gets noticed by a mod/admin/etc. or B) gets reported. It all depends on whether somebody feels compelled enough to flag your name for review. Nobody flagged ASSBLASTER because it's Xbox live. Every other name has some sort of expletive in it, and lots of mic-users spam obscenities anyways. It's really just your bad luck you played with a guy that decided to paint a target on your account for the sake of being random/schadenfreude

This pretty much covers it all. Occasionally I see someone with 'awesome' or 'pwn' or 'pro' in their name and they either have something unique or funny enough that to me, I say, 'Yeah, not a bad name.'

Honestly, I've never really see a whole crapton of gamertags I have a problem with. They all kinda just 'blur' together that I never can really distinguish one 'killmastr' from 'expertassassin' or '1337sniper' from 'elitepwner'.

Mind you those are made up names... As far as I know. XD
