Monster Hunter Freedom 2 for the PSP. I'm at around 250 or so hours logged on this thing, and still hooked on it. I've been playing it solo so the Guild missions are pretty frustrating, but's its all worth it when you take down that giant Dragon/Crab/Mammal/Plesioth with it's frustrating hip check...Also Patapon and Patapon 2.

Planetside 2004-2006. Best PvP game ever, despite all its massive and painful flaws. Damn we had fun.

Considering I still play Streets of Rage 2, I'd say that. More recently I couldn't put down Mass Effect 2.
But the game I've sunk the most hours into is easily Oblivion. It's like sugar to me.

Pokemon Red
That or Halo on Legendary Co-op with my friend. The Library on Legendary... Nothing was more horrific and addictive.

While Ive never played it much long term, I have played on and off. My single overpowering memory of that game is:

There is a continent that in the bottom left has an island connected only by 2 bridges one to the west and one to the north. I got up at 9 AM, began defending that island at 10am with the blue guys to the west and the red guys to the north, I took a break from defending at 2 for lunch and another at 7 for dinner before calling it a night at like 11. That was the single most epic battle EVER!

Mechs everywhere, the sky battle in constant and full swing. Sniper and heavy weapons lining the wall's and tanks skirmishing out. There must have been a good 600 of us defending that fort at peak times!

Plant vs. Zombies. And half of it is just staring at the zombies getting mowed down by the plants!
This . . . PVZ is awesome! I have it on two different computers and I never get tired of playing . . . its so freaking addicting!

Otherwise Portal and Zelda: Ocaraina of Time, both awesome games that I play regularly on a rainy day :)
I just lost my computer's hard drive memory... And now I'm going to play PvZ again from scratch!

Master of Orion 2 was the only game where I could start playing at noon and stop at midnight without having noticed even a minute passing. Yes, believe me, I know it's just clicking next turn until the first bit of research has been completed, but then...dunno, it's just great.

Oblivion has also robbed me of many hours, as did GTA:SA, C&C RA2 and Diablo2. Haven't quite had the same addiction with some of the newer games though...

Either Lineage 2 or SSB Melee. I remember staying up all night partying and doing quests with many bottles of coke to keep me company, it was so fucking awesome! That lasted for about 5 years till the new expansions ruined the game.

I played Melee 7 years straight, FUCKING SEVEN YEARS! Seven years of my life playing with my bro and friends, collecting all the trophies, completing all the challenges with a great score and perfecting my skills.

Call of Duty 4 multiplayer. 350 hours, max level, 2 golden guns, etc. etc.

Ah, the good old days...
Yeah, pretty much the same here.

That was like a drug addiction for me, I kept playing though all I was getting from it was anger and rage.

World of Warcraft. Hands down. Damn, I played that game days and night. I'm glad I don't own a computer anymore and can't connect to the internet... oh wait.

Morrowind... hundreds upon hundreds of hours spent there. I didn't even finish exploring the entire map.

Runescape was so amazing.
Until the bastards started trying to do too much and fucked it up
What turned me off it were the gold farmers and macro users (computerized leveling, BTW. A software that plays the game for you).
That didn't bother me, The Grand exchange made me have to work too hard to get money and you couldnt get any freebies so that caused me to quit
Ahh, the Grand Exchange. I liked the idea of it. But the prices were absolutely outragious. Also that 3000gp (I think) difference on trading they issued. That was stupid.
