You don't need to collect them it just makes life easier in battles if you have. You can also start a new game + and keep all the ones you have collected. And since there is 4 endings you could just go for 500 per game and max out. It really isn't the number so much as the boring time you waste getting them. It is so hard to see a collectible 5 feet away from you and not go after it. Although if you do go after it you are bound to see another one and the circle of boredom continues. And if you are inbetween missions all you do is fight the same generic baddies who are always set up the same way as you look for these blasted things.Kukakkau said:You've got to be kidding me... ALL 2000 that you have to collect?? and I thought in Prince of Persia having to just over half of them was bad...squid5580 said:Spiderman Web of Shadows
Over 2000 of them. 2000!!!!!! You can't can't take a bloody step without seeing 3 of them in the distance which makes you spend time getting them. And when you swing up to the first one you are bound to see 5 more. It is so frustrating because they do serve a purpose other than just being there (they upgrade your speed and health I believe) and collecting them gives you levels. There is 11 levels and you need to collect 2000 to get to level 11. I call shenanigans. I was really beginning to hate it til I said screw it and started ignoring them and just played the story.
EDIT: How much would it suck to be left on 1999 though?
That reminds me there was one friggin dragon in the first Spyro game i could not get and i was forever left 1 off the total. I think that made me cry too, not sure was still youngCharli said:Spyro 3, I collected 149/150 eggs. Guess what. The last one gliched out on me, everything I tried left me unable to collect that last egg. I don't know why, but it made me cry. CRY.
And then of course spyro died and plunged into crap games. So I felt the smug satisfaction of Karma.
That happened to me too. Got it in the end though. But then I got even MORE pissed off when I completed the game only to find that I'd missed the achievement where you have every possible conversation with Lucy. Turns out I missed out one conversation near the start of the game. I made a point of completing it again just for that achievement. NO GAME WILL EVER BEAT ME!!!Kukakkau said:I don't know if this has happened to many other people but I was playing Assassin's Creed and going for the only achievement i have left in it (all of King Richard's flags). So i was using a guide to find the last few flags I had missed but when i get to the location of flag 100 i see my progress - 99/100.
Was pretty pissed off so i went through the WHOLE list of flags again. And by the time i got to flag number 100 again i still hadn't found the last one.
Since then I haven't played the game again despite liking it out of sheer frustration.
Anyone else had a similar or worse experience?
I can beat that:devilondemand said:Crackdown

497/500
Fuck you Realtime Worlds.
Oh god, I completely agree. By the time I finished the game, I was around the 900 mark, and thinking to myself "only 100 more!" Imagine my frustration and horror when I finally reached 1000...squid5580 said:Spiderman Web of Shadows

I didnt know the bobblehead was here, so I blew up the base along with the bobblehead.
