Final Fantasy X: The fight against Seymor on Mount Gagazet.

Oh lord.
That one was so easy for me, I just kept using Hastega, made sure everyone had a turn so they'd get the AP, then just sent my Aeons after him with full Overdrives. When he was down to about 20000 HP, I just used one Megaflare from Bahamut and he was wasted, with an Overkill no less.

No, the toughest one for me is easily Braska's Final Aeon. I can wipe out his first form easily enough, but then he pulls that great big large-ass sword from his chest, and that's it. And I use Anima's Overdrive too soon as well, so I get him to about 70000 HP then my every attack is countered by those damn Yu Pagodas healing him. However, I took a detour to Omega Ruins and fought Ultima Weapon (a piss-easy battle, considering...) and stole a load of Doors To Tomorrow from him. Didn't bother trying to face Omega Weapon. But now with Rikku's Mix Overdrive, I can use Trio of 9999 (so all attacks and healing do 9999 damage or restoration), and when I face Braska's Final Aeon again tonight I can wipe him out using that and Anima's Overdrive together ;D.

Not technically a boss fight, but the star destroyer in The Force Unleashed. Technically it was due to a bug, but it's still annoying.

The 2nd giant machine gun spider in The Red Star.

When you fight the bastard there's like 30 dudes with mortars firing at you from the background. The mortar shots can one-hit any of the player characters except the skinhead with the spear. Unless you picked him from the start, you're boned.

The End in Metal Gear Solid 3. Mainly when you want to hold him up for the goodies. A wonderful fight, do not get me wrong, just annoying sometimes.

Sean Darcy in Alpha Protocol. You fight him in a obstacle course-like arena populated by guards (who occasionally get reinforcements), the arena is littered with traps, he's in a sniper towers at the far end of it (that you can't storm), the other sniper nest you can return fire from has the hardest damned lock in the game on it (and you are are highly exposed while messing with it - the security-breaking minigames don't stop time), and he constantly pitches entire clusters of explosive grenades at you (which is death for anyone who hasn't stacked up on Toughness).

I don't imagine he'd be as hard on repeat playthroughs, but it was a ***** firguring that fight out.
agreed, I'm just happy I had an EMP with me to break the lock

Oh lord.
Is that the one right after the calmlands?...plains...thingy. I remember watching my friend fail that half a dozen times. On my save game, I was grinding & purchased the yojimbo summon....I casted him just to see what happens, and he used the one hit kill move straight out. I laughed so hard. While my friend cried.

But the newest tekken game, the final boss. I officially declare it unfair to make your boss character that large, so that his moves tend to have the screens length of reach. -.-

Any of the bosses in Ninja Gaiden 2 on its hardest difficulty.

God damn bosses have those elite ninjas backing them up.

Oh god, THIS. he made the dragon fight on the airship look easy.

So many hours wasted getting everyone up to par and the aeons' overdrives up...

Also the third to last boss on Ninja Gaiden Black. Those rocks controlled like ass, and she could hit you from almost anywhere.

That spider thing from Sigma's Castle in Mega Man X. It follows you where you dash so you have to have good timing. Not to mention that you have a second to react and hit it, before it climbs up again. Then it gets FASTER so dodging it is nearly impossible.

By far the hardest boss in that game. Second form Sigma was a cakewalk compared to that.

I played FFX briefly in 2002 and haven't touched it since, but I still parts from the cutscenes for that battle...

Yuna: "I will fight you too!"

Tidus: "I knew you were bad news the first time we met!"
Seymour: "Oh, my sincerest appologies!"
Tidus: "Seymour!"

Seymour: "Feel my pain! Come, Anima!"
