XIII,
The most underrated game of the previous generation in my opinion. It ended with the almighty and cliché "To be continued", but they never made a sequel due to the underratedness of the game. I spent months playing that game, just to find out they never going to finish the flippin' story.
Thank you Ubi, thank you very much.
try finding the comics, the game is fun even if it does dissolve into a memory fest later on.
Believe it or not, but my dad collects comicbooks and he has ALL the XIII comicbooks. We have a special room for his and his comic-fetish. I recommended XIII after I played the game, so he started collecting the comic series. :p
I don't know whether to say "cool" or back off slowly lol.
A sequal with less memory bonanza would be cool.

Superman 64...
You've been raging against the game, trying desperately to get that retard to move the way you want him to, you've just finished the last part, and you see... this:
"You've saved your friends!...but Lex Luthor is still alive"
-Is sstill alive
-still alive
-still
You honestly played that abomination to the end? Then what in the hell did you expect? A prize, maybe?
In all seriousness, awesome comment.
He got ya There. WHY would you bother finishing it??

I have a particular dislike for most of the endings in Street Fighter IV. Absolutely NOTHING gets resolved. All we get are giant cliffhangers and what seems be be a gigantic gap between the next chronological game in the series, Street Fighter III: The Next Generation.

Ten bucks says Street Fighter V will take place between III and IV and mindfuck us all, a la Devil May Cry.

I think I hated MGS2's ending... but I'm not sure... can't recall much about it, my mind gets hazy... I think my brain blocked it out to protect me from the mindfuck that is the ending...
"They're all dead... all 12 of them."

"When did it happen..?"

"Well, uh... about 100 years ago."

"WTF?!?!?!?"

Pretty much that.

Umm. One of the Tomb Raiders. Might have been Tomb Raider 2. Completed the game and the camera does a sort of pan around Croft Manor, ends up in the bathroom, sorta tries to look in to the shower and Lara pulls a gun out and shoots it (me).

Sheesh. My reward for all the jumping and shooting was the inference that I wanted to watch a lass in the shower, and earn myself a bullet in the face. Cheeky bastard to assume it was all about the T & A. I was fucking pissed about that.

Assassin's Creed, Mirror's Edge or anything else that was basically a giant "To Be Continued". I hate "To Be Continued"s...
Oh, and how could I forget Indigo Prophecy. A fine example of how a story could start strong and then go to shit half way through the game.

Operation Anchorage was dissapointing. I didn't expect an ending, but I wanted to know the reason for the whole betrayal.

Fable II

"oh, im sorry, did you wanted to kill him?"
You can kill him. You only get that if you let him monologue for ages. Personally, I shot him as soon as I was able.

Any game where it makes you jump through hoops and go through the gates of hell just to find and kill this asshole turtle who kidnapped a princess. She doesn't even blow you afterwards either.

Well I don't think I've actually witnessed a bad ending, because I really don't see why theres any problem with MW1 or 2's endings or any CoD games ending, they were brilliant and cinematic ... saying that they were Cliche (can't do the accent on this keyboard) is a little bit weird because they were pretty unique in my eyes (but opinion is opinion)

I also enjoyed Fable II's ending because the fact that Lucius [or whatever his name was] died in one hit was hiding the deeper meaning to it, In Fable I you fight the demon man-thing Jack, Lucius was trying to build ultimate power ... he didn't have it.

But one the ending to a game as a whole that I didn't like wasn't so much of an end, just a decline.... I enjoyed this series for as long as I could remember and played the games for ages, but after the first Sonic Adventure blew me away on Dreamcast I was in absolute love with him, and then Adventure 2: Battle was alright, Heroes was fine and then everything else was just meh-bad

Although there was a really cool beat-em-up one on the GBA, that one was awesome!
