In one of the first islands you go on, they're part of some little gang that want to try and get a pendant for your teacher or something, but when you go near them, they all run up to you and start circling you for no reason...

Every single character in Eternal Sonata. I couldn't tell which ones were supposed to be kids and which weren't, which was my first clue to stop playing.

Cooke and Mack are a close second though.

I agree... and on another note; who the heck recruits kids to join a rebellion, an army or some other resistance movement in computer games.
I mean take infininite undiscovery for example (or any other similar game), what kind of leader in their right mind would recruit children to fight in a resistance movemnet that would result in death or certain doom?

Yeah, I agree and when *spoiler* Naomi dies she goes all happy when she finds out that Sonny managed to cook the freakin' eggs. Either those eggs are made out of gold or something is just wrong.
