Spawning from yet another random conversation between me and my housemates, we got to thinking about what the worst track would be to have to listen to for 3 straight hours with no way to turn off the music, change the track or plug your ears against the sound.

Just some of the ideas we came up with:

Eiffel 65 - Blue (Da Ba Dee)
Aqua - Barbie Girl
Hank Green - Brother From A Mother of A Last Name of Another Colour
Mousse T - Horny
Tony Christie - Is This The Way To Amarillo
500 Miles
Ricky Martin - Livin' La Vida Loca
Hanson - Mmm Bop
Katy Perry - Teenage Dream
Cartoons DK - Witch Doctor

And those are just the ones off my iPod, let alone what we had on everyone elses.

What tracks can you guys add to the list?

And bear in mind that your average 3-4 minute track is gonna be heard anywhere between about 45 and 60 times in that 3 hour period, with not a single thing you can do about it.

Conor Maynard - Can't Say No

That song. That song could slay an animal after 2 minutes. 3 hours would break the most hardened of individuals.
Fuck that song.

LET"S FIND OUT!

I've lasted 2 and a half hours, and I've still managed to retain the sections of my memory that do not involve He-Man. Top that.

My god, I could barely stand to hear it once. I think I would have to kill myself if I was forced to listen to it for three hours.

Anything by Taylor Swift for three hours would make me want to punch her in her weird looking face. I'm angry just thinking about the scenario.

Anything by Duffy. Honestly her voice is the most annoying, loud, whinging noise I've ever had the misfortune to hear. That awful Dixon woman comes in at a close second.

There are a bunch of shops near where I work that play the same handful of songs over and over again. I don't know the names of them, but I want to march upstairs and destroy their speakers every time I hear them.

I think that's hilarious. One of the best trolls I have ever seen. Of course it's terrible, it's meant to be.

Honestly, I would listen to that music sooner than anything else because it still worth listening to hours on end.

That Rebecca Black song might count as too annoying for repeated listening to.

Also, look up Jan Terry for true annoyance.

I dunno...a lot of crap songs would probably start sounding better over and over.

Like Sideshow Bob getting hit in the face by rakes, it starts being not very funny, stops being funny, gets funny again and then stops again.

Keep a crap song going for ages and the same might be true.

I'll just leave this here. [footnote] I'm sorry... [/footnote]

So you should be.
Why would you do that to a fellow human?
I'm a sadist, that's why.I enjoy inflicting pain on others.

Not really though, I apologise for reminding you this song existed.

A buddy and I during college worked for an organization as "mentors" for troubled (psychologically, socially, etc) teens. Part of the job was to take the kids around just to have fun (a day at a park, movie, pool, whatever). One of the kids my friend mentored only wanted to listen to one song:

Probably some hardcore noise rock the sort where they just drag their instruments through a bumpy road whilst they blabber nonsensical.
