most annoying thing about steam?

well, what's your most annoying thing about steam? mine would be that you can't play games while downloading another game. I bought the hitman pack, and i'm itching to play my games, but it pauses the download every time. On a side note, can someone tell me why it does this?

EDIT: i think a few people are reading this wrong, because even with all it's faults, i LOVE steam.

Its easy to fix, start your game, alt-tab out go into steam, right click the download and pause it then start it again and it'll begin downloading again and you can go back to your game.

As to why it does this, I'm not sure. There are a couple of theories out on the interwebs you can look up if you really care, but it really doesn't matter since its easy enough to get around.

Some of the older games are still buggy and unplayable...

There are a lot....

It periodically refuses to let me log in (regardless of my internet connection being present).
When downloading new games that are packaged with the expansion (most recently overlord+ expansion) it installs the smaller package (the expansion) first, which of course gets corrupted when the main game rewrites half the files necessitating a full redownload.
It installs updates incrementally, and with every steam update the option to 'not update games' is rechecked....This is a joke, honestly I don't understand why they don't just download incrementally and install after 100% of the files are downloaded, it's fucking stupid.
They have the nerve to hike up Australian prices on all games, but cannot be assed changing the prices so they are viewed in $AU...if you're going to give an artificially increased price, at least convert it for us.
It also crashes a lot on both my systems, possibly because it lacks proper 64bit support.

A bank account with debit card. It's actually fairly easy to get one. Heck, I got one when I was 16 years old!

honestly, the only true gripe I have with Steam is the fact that you gotta wait for it to launch when you're launching a game, mostly seen with TF2 or Killing Floor

THANK GOD! I'm not the only one!!!
Okay, heres my list.
1. You can't install a game in offline mode. Okay, fine. But then as soon as its installed an update starts and you can't play till its done!!!! AvP 1.2gig download and I was capped!!!!

2. A game doesn't install correctly. Fine, uninstall, reinstall. BUT NO. You can't just reinstall you have to download the whole damn game even thought its sitting on a disc. Currently I am trying to play TF2. I installed it and did a 4 gig download at an average of 40kb/s...It didn't work! Like wtf!!!

3. I bought the extra maps for MWF2. 2 of the maps didn't work.

4. If steam doesn't work, your games don't.

5. Games take forever to install.

6. The horrible tech support. I can't find a telephone number for help. I don't want to send an email. Its going to end up with a response, "reintall the game", "i did", "I don't know".

There's probably more. But I despise Steam. I bought BlOps on the PS3 just so I didn't have to deal with steam even though the game costs more on PS3 and I don't like shooters on consoles.

Of hard drive space?!?!?! You know you should never let it drop below 10% right, else problems begin.

OT: My biggest problem is sales... I buy to much, not so much a Steam problem as it is my problem.
