My little brother often takes a while to choose a move when he's fighting a tough opponent. So when he has a Pokemon with low health out, I have to listen to that loop for about 5 minutes , at which point I want to take his DS and throw it across the room.
All a game really should have is a short phrase or noise to point out your low health. That's it. You don't need to have that noise loop right up until the point that I get healed or killed, probably the latter since I'm stressed due to my low health and the annoying noise.

Oh, but don't do this either. That guy sounded like a complete prick when he said that, like he was mocking you for not bringing healing items. A lot more annoying than Navi.
