Most annoying "waits" for a game

Waiting for Portal 2 is killing me right now, but before that I know it felt like an eternity waiting for Halo 3. I used to be all about Halo back in the day, but I'm completely Halo-ed out now. Still, I vividly remember the painful waiting period of 3 years between Halo 2 and 3.

Anybody here heard of Diablo III? If you were playing since Diablo and Diablo II you'll know how we've been waiting over several years and have had it in production.. scrapped and around four or five years later have it put back in to production and then have it NOT announced at blizzcon t'other year there.

I've given up on D3 ever since Blizzard decided that "Since WoW is our best seller, we should make Diablo 3 look just like WoW, hurr durr."

You know, instead of making it unique and gritty like D2. Yea, I know graphics arent everything but I completely despise Wow-like visuals.

The most annoying wait for me is happening right now. I'm getting Bulletstorm for my birthday. I'm addicted to the demo, which i've played a megabazillion times. My birthday is on wednesday, the 9th of march, and I'm getting Bulletstorm next sunday from my auntie. I want to play it NOW!!!

Shogun 2. It's become a real race for me: I preordered the collectors edition, which I will receive delivered home on the 15th, but my pc's cpu-fan got loose just last week, so I need to re-apply the thermal grease-stuff before it will run(it shuts down 15 secs in because of overheating) And that is delivered on the 8th, leaving but a few days to get it running again...

It's already been like 5 years and now they announce it and make us wait almost another whole year before releasing it!

And the obligatory Half Life 2: Episode 3. I wanted to play that RIGHT after ep.2 and I'm still waiting.

Diablo III.
The game has "only" been announced for about three years, but I have been looking forward to it since some fake rumours ten years ago. Anyway, for two years after the announcement I visited the Diablo III-forums EVERY day, at least once. I was constantly digging for more information and blue posts.

The hype started wearing off a year ago and I visit the forums very rarely(whenever there is a blue post it's just some random bullshit from Bashiok, and there's never any info updates...). Still, I want the damn game. NOW!

The Elder Scroll V: Skyrim.
I've never been excited for a game 11 months before it came out but when I saw the trailer back in November I just had to register on Bethesda's forums and follow them on Twitter and check every new detal that comes out about it.

It's going to be a long 9 months.
