The whip power in Prototype, you can dismember a crowd of enemies with one swing of it. Easily the most powerful weapon in the game.

The laptop gun deployed at a sensitive spot or that one gun that shoots through walls in Perfect Dark.
These, oh Lord, these. Or the secondary mode on grenades, when they go all bouncy/proximity. I blew myself up a lot with those buggers.

I really thought the gravity gun was disappointing. Sure, I can whack enemies with random objects, or I could just shoot them in the face and kill them quicker.

In single-player games, the most annoying weapon for me to use would have to be any sort of knuckle AND big gun in Fallout 3. For one, the knuckles feel way too insubstantial for me to care enough to get close enough for a hit, and the big guns are so inaccurate without V.A.T.S. and take up so much AP with V.A.T.S that they're basically single-shot affairs at extreme close range (laser rifles in the game also get an honorable mention, since the only-slightly-weaker laser pistol is so much more easier to use, making the rifle dead weight, as well as the ripper and it's variants, which have an incredibly short range and can only do meaningful damage in V.A.T.S., in which they take up ungodly amounts of AP, and which break down easily).

As a weapon which is incredibly annoying to get used on me in a single-player game, my vote would go to...actually, the mini-guns of that same game would most likely take the cake. Whenever an enemy gets their mitts on one, it's as though they have a scope and heat-seeking bullets to boot. But obviously, mines are annoying in every game.

Oh, and multiplayer games. For these, it depends on what type of multiplayer, but I'll go with good ol' fashioned 4 controllers plugged into a box. In this case, if you're new to the game, the most irritating weapon to have used on you is misinformation, for example, when the game's owner tells you block is one button when it's just the duck button. With the situation reversed, with you playing as the experienced gamer, it's all beginner's luck.

And while I'm at it, the sniper rifle. In pretty much any game.
You do realise having a sniper rifle wouldn't be much use if it took several shots to take down enemies with one? eg. Mass Effect. I couldn't stand that Sniper Rifle, for not only did it continuously move around as though someone had attached electromagnets everywhere, it didn't really damage my enemies much (and this was the HMMVLLLSFPLAPFA Sniper we're talking about, not one of the cheap plastic ones Shephard starts with).

Lightning bolt in Mario Kart. Even if I have it I hate using it, and of course the flying blue shell.

Most shotguns in general annoy me.

But one thing I absolutely hate is when you are playing Super Smash Brothers (Doesn't matter which one) And someone has the fan and just spams the "A" button and keeps hitting you enabling you to move.

You eventually get out of it but Jesus its annoying...

True , underpowered sniper rifles are annoying, but overpowered ones are just as bad. For example, the one in the first Halo, or the one (I forget the name) which can kill with a single body shot in counter strike. These ones annoy me because they often seem to cause the game to turn into games of sniper v sniper, where anyone else gets killed instantly. At least some require some skill to use, where you have to get a headshot to do any serious damage.

The God-damned Pink Gun.

The pink gun was from the early Mission Impossible game, in one mission you had to follow a woman into the bathroom and jump her in there. However if you jumped her too early you fail, and if you jump her too late or fail at jumping her she does an instant 180, whips out this little pink gun from her purse and shoots you for an instant kill that send you flying backwards.

*****.

Oh, lighten up.

OT: Blue shells definitely get an honorable mention. It's just totally unfair: at least with the red and green shells you have to AIM, or the target at least gets a chance to dodge. Blue shells just equate to "You may be skilled enough to get to first place, but sheer luck dictates you get F'd in the A", which just seems like a really cheap way to make the game as accessible to n00bs as possible.

Also, not sure if this qualifies as a 'weapon' per se, but I really despise the Blessed Hammer, when coming from Diablo 2 Hammerdins. You can't block them, magic resistance won't help you, and it does enough damage that you only have to brush up against one to frickin DIE. Since most hammerdins naturally have the Enigma armor, most duels boil down to trying desperately to dodge the massive shitstorm of hammers while never getting even close to the dude that's lobbing them.

Hammerdins ruined Diablo!!
