Most Anticipated HD Re-Release?

I'm pissed off at Square Enix for skipping the entire PS1 generation of Final Fantasy games that everyone wants and remaking a game that's fine the way it is, but regardless, Final Fantasy X is one of my favorite games of all time, and I'm incredibly excited to see it in HD.

HD remakes are hardly much work in terms of converting a game to support widescreen and throwing some anti-aliasing in so it isn't as choppy, but that is for PS2 and such. Most of the work goes into optimizing the game to run smoothly on the newer consoles.

Doing that to a PS1 game I would imagine wouldn't help the game at all graphically or in terms of running.

I'm fairly certain that is why the MGS HD collection leaves out MGS1.

More on topicly, it's true VII would take far more time and effort, in that it would have to be remade, not just converted to HD, but it's the one everyone wants, and I don't think anyone anticipated they would just skip the entire generation. When fans cry for a certain thing for a long time, you don't just skip it and move on. That's kind of douchey.

Metal Gear Solid due to nostalgia. Silent Hill because of pure curiosity.

Honest? None. I already own most of these and see no point in re-buying a game (or movie) that is being re-relesed with some graphic differences. Only one I MIGHT consider is Silent Hill and that's because my disc is badly scratched. To me its a fancy marketing gimmick, look at Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. How many times has it been released and how many people have bought it. There's no real point to it. (In MY EYES people)

Halo anniversary just nips victory over ICO & SoC remakes. Is my most favorite game ever.

Silent Hill. I've never played any of the series, I can't find a copy in my province, and the only person I knew to own it sold it a year or so ago. I'll probably get the team Ico pack sooner or later, if for nothing but the praise it has gotten. I have finished MGS2 and 3, and I have over 100 hours in Peace Walker, so nothing new there.

Ico and Shadow of the Colossus for sure. Loved the latter half to death, but never really got a chance to play Ico.

God of War Collection II! I'm a sucker for Kratos, but I never thought I'd be able to play the PSP games. Now I'll get my chance!

Also... Give me Ratchet & Clank Trilogy for PS3!

Metal Gear Solid because I already know those games are great. I do want the others though, I just haven't played those games before so they aren't my "most anticipated".
