Most boring game you've ever played

Far Cry 2 was pretttty bad IMO

And Resident Evil 5 was just so god damn frustrating

Oh and MGS4 was but i think it's because it was the first one i jumped into and really didn't understand how to play it but oddly enough i enjoyed the Splinter Cell franchise minus DA

Halo series

Played the first one and got to where you chase monitor... after chasing him through the same hallways and fighting the same enemies for about an hour, I quit the game and never played again. Halo 2, made it through, still pretty boring, and zero replay value... Halo 3... don't have a 360, but I went to a Halo party at my friends house one night... All the fanboys say the game is all about the multiplayer and still, after an hour or two, I was ready to go play something... I dunno... fun?

It's very hard for me to respect your opinion here. You didn't like the first one, but went out and played its two sequels? Because you enjoy making yourself miserable?

Every game based upon a movie / comic / other non unique idea.

Reason:

- Easy to predict story line
- Confined gameplay, leading to bad gameplay
- Graphics are either too good or too bad, when designing a game the visual aspect should compliment the gameplay, not be the first consideration.
- Bad Idea, essentially your simple watching the movie again, just this time you pause it every few seconds.

I am fully aware i am going to get flamed like hell for this but:

I much prefer Roman to Niko, sure roman was an annoying, bullpooping, spineless dick but at least he was consistantly an annoying, bullpooping , spineless dick.

Niko seems to change his mind about killing people every 30 seconds, Killing people is really bad, but now it is fine, now i am being moody and it is bad again. Fucking hell.

the most boring game I've played would be syndicate for the snes, maybe i was just too young, but i never knew what the hell you where meant to do in that.

Too human was great for the first 20mins or so, then after that there was the dawning realization that this is all there is too it.

I bought Halo 2 when I bought my Xbox, and that was before I ended up quitting in the first one... With the third, I, like a normal human, thought that going and hanging out with friends would be better the sitting around alone all night... And at least I tried the games instead of saying they are boring and stupid without trying them...

True. Its kinda hard for me to feel for a character who wants to get away from killing but 2 seconds later, when I give him a RPG of course, blows the fuck out of a city block along with thousands of people.

Ugh the most boring recent game I played was Out of the Park Baseball 9. I really do not know why I decided to buy this. It was in a moment of weakness. Like the angry video game nerd, I am curious about gaming oddities, but I know that they usually end up sucking bad. But that stupid curiosity gets to you I guess. But anyways, this game is sooooo boring, lol. Really... this is the most boring game ever.. I am sure there are those like 5 baseball fans out there that really like this game. But man... I am sorry .. ugh.... its horrible lol.

I have to agree with demigod. I mean I played it and thought the premise and the controls were good and the graphics were top notch but after playing a couple of matches it just felt like everything was the same. Sure you could select a different character but essentially you are doing the same thing over and over. I think what was lacking for me was more of a sort of ongoing campaign. Just felt too repetitive to me.

I'm very much inclined to say RuneScape, but that would mean that it qualifies as some sort of game.

Therefore, the most boring real game I've played was Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, since I just can't get into squad-based shooters, and the whole premise was, I thought, rather dull. I much prefer pick-up-and-go action games.
