Any Final Fantasy game, even Dirge of Cerberus. I just find them about as compelling as having to eat sand, when I'm not hungry. I just find everything boring and tedious about them, from the overdone characters to the predictable story... And the worst part is the gameplay, I could get over the rest but the gameplay puts me to sleep.

Unmodded Skyrim. There is pretty much nothing entertaining about it other than the Trailer.
Dragon Age 2. Somehow it had less engaging combat then the first, with the added bonus of me having to get one of those woodpecker things to keep hitting my left mouse button so I'd keep attacking.
Any CoD game I've played. I don't do multiplayer, I find it more boring than Single Player. CoD managed to make single player bland by making it fully linear and filling it with set pieces.

I could go on and list a ton of extra games, but that'd be unfair on them as I generally enjoyed them on my first playthrough, then got bored of them later. These buggers... Bored soon as I started, bored as I ended, and in between was just bleh.

Crackdown.

generic combat, somewhat boring city, frustrating driving mechanics, glanced-over story, and that disembodied voice that won't shut up for at least 10 seconds.

Also, Eternal Sonata, a JRPG with great atmosphere that fails to compensate for dull or nonsensical characters, cutscenes that drag on with arbitrary and irrelevant existential stuff, repetitive combat, did I mention dull or nonsensical characters?

The majority of MGS 4 probably. I love the game when it lets you actually play it, but pretty much everything after the first two acts is just...boring.

Had to check my achievements list for the title...

Kingdom under Fire: Circle of Doom. The only game I ever quit because it was so dull within a day. At least I gave Oblivion 50 hours and a bug before I quit.

I despise Hack and slash games, but the lack of a comprehensible story was the final nail in the coffin.

Terminator Salvation the video game.....

This has got to be the worst video game I've ever played in my entire life.

Literally boring as fuck and so much on rails it makes BLOPS 2 look like a great game.

I was going to post this as well. Gave up playing it after an hour of boring combat in randomly generated maps without any story context to fuel the experience after the first five minutes.

Really disappointing given that I actually loved kingdom under fire on the original xbox. It was a strategy game in which you could directly take control of your leader joining in the battles.

Where's Waldo on the NES, has pretty much always been my all time worst game, and being boring is part of that. Its just trying to tell pixelated blobs form other pixelated blobs, the worst ever.

I second dungeon siege 3. it ran well, that's all i could say for it.

Another diablo-like - path of exile. Really like the leveling up system, nice and different, and how you obtain abilities, but the gameplay is mind numbingly easy (it might get harder at some point later on, but it takes far too long to get there if it does).

final fantasy and similar grindy rpg's, though i loved final fantasy tactics, one of my favorites even, and managed to make it like halfway through ffxii before i got bored. Yet people keep convincing me that *this time it'll be different, you'll like this one*, hehe.

I actually like the bethesda games (though i heavily mod them). If ya tried but didn't like oblivion, try it w/fcom convergence (have some patience in installing it though, its a pain to get it going) + whatever other mods catch your eye (the trick is to only get mods that up the difficulty, don't get anything that makes you superman or you'll get bored after 5 minutes, even if it looks flashy and cool). If fcom is too much because of the installation process, then oscuro's oblivion overhaul instead (double click to install). they both have youtube trailers to explain what they do (fcom include's oscuro's and other overhauls and makes them compatible).

Assassin's Creed 3. It's a good game overall don't get me wrong but it doesn't live up to the series. This is the most recent boring game. Calling one game the most boring is a bit difficult for me.

The reason why I'm calling it boring is because I love the previous Ass Creeds for allowing me a certain sense of liberty. I could come up with different clever ways of killing the target. A lot of the stuff that I can do feels like mini games or fluffs, which would be okay if it didn't take away from the core experience. If anyone here has watched Yahtzee's review on the game will get an idea of what I'm going on about.

This really pissed me off since I enjoyed some of the newer mechanics like countering two opponents at the same time, the rope dart is awesome on the ground or not and I think that it's probably one of the best tools in the game. One of my newest favorites is the corner assassination. I wish there was more stuff that made me use those new methods of killing my targets. The ship fighting was actually fun as well

It's an overall good game but why do I feel like it's a chore to go through most of everything that it has to offer.

Mass Effect

You want to know what happens over the course of the long and tedious missions in copy/pasted generic quest hubs? FUCKING NOTHING

A Game of Thrones Genesis. I just couldn't take the micro management. I prefer my RTS like C&C where if i get backstabbed i know about. I never even finished the 2nd level in the campaign it was so tedious

Borderlands 2, of course. I'm assuming we're just talking about recent games.

If not, I could probably name a very large percentage of Atari 2600 and NES games I've played. I once rented Anticipation for the NES. What a waste of a weekend that turned out to be.

Apparently I am the only person on Earth who liked Dragon Age 1. I feel weirdly smug.
You're not alone, brother. 3 playthroughs done so far, still not bored of it

Most boring game I've played? Hmm... Might not be the most boring ever, but I stopped playing AC: Revelations about 3 hours in. Actually, that's the only time I remember quitting a game mid-game like that. AC3 was an improvement, if you ask me, but it felt really tedious all the time. I did play through AC3, so either it was simply better or I was determined to play it all the way since I've already sinked 50 euros on it.

At first I was like 'oh cool, I can type in anything I want and it appears'

Then I found out that half the stuff you type doesn't do shit, and most of the rest are just gimmicks.

Mass effect 2, the probe B.S. is required for the best ending and is just stupid. The combat was mediocre and the story, while above par, was ruined by the fact I felt like the game was obliging me to do this BS minigame.

I guess it's the fashion to name games that are widely accepted as great games, and ***** about em. So i'll go with Deus Ex. I can't get past the first level. the graphics bore me, the gameplay bores me and the voice acting bores me.

Am i a gaming hipster now?
Yep. Quite nicely done. Maybe you could have picked something newer. Or Half-Life.
In the same vein I, too, am going to ignore "most" and "ever" and instead give an answer to "What game have you played recently that you found kinda too boring?" and pick Torchlight2. Click mouse, hold mouse until character emerges from clusterfuck of effects, pick up Things of Slight Difference, repeat.
