Anything from Condemned games, also a lot of the finishers in Bourne Conspiracy were fairly brutal, I loved the way they sent a vibration of satisfaction up you arm when you performed them

well, i can think of many brutal and torturous ways to kill someone, too bad none of them are in video games.
But on Topic, a specific favourite from Manhunt 2 was with the Hedge clippers. Stab them in the throat and open the scissors, severing their head nearly off but not quite. its too bad that item was so late in the game you don't get to enjoy as much

Ehhhh my defenition of brutal is how much the other guy suffers so, I'd go for drowning someone. If you do that the last 1 or so minute of their life would be spent thinking "i will die", THAT's very very brutal in a sense.
Hitting someone with a blunt object or chainsawing someone will make em die very fast or make them pass out depening where you aim. Making someone feel like there's no escape at all is just to brutal in a sense.
Geez im starting to sound like a murderer or something, I think i'm thinking to much lol.
Edit: Also Not being able to breathe is..... Scary as hell, Trust me I almost drowned once.

Have your giant evil ape creature eat a child's parents, then a few hours later, have your ape shit said parents onto the still traumatised child.
Death by parents & shit.
There's a few variations, like have your creature eat the children & shit them onto the parents, or have your creature eat the entire family, take a dump on the ground, then throw the shit at the neighbours.

My personal favorite is along the lines of: stunning someone with he tazer till they go in fetal position throwing up, then dowsing them in gasoline, setting them on fire, pissing the fire out, decapitating the corpse with a shovel and proceeding to play golf with their head and the shovel... or football...or if there's a wall nearby, 1-man-tennis...I swear Postal 2 is the most depraved game ever.
