i saw a post recently about college students unable to foil and it made me think of this. so im curious if you know the answer. in all honesty, even couldn't figure it out at first.

what is the difference between these two lines of letters

AEFHIKLMNTVWXYZ
BCDGJOPQRSU

Ill put the answer up later.

Hint: the fact that one line is longer than the other is not the answer, but the way they are ordered will help you answer it.

One line is longer than the other?

Thats all I got.

Edit: it seems to be in the order of the alphabet just in a funny way.

The letters are different?

EDIT: Oh, I see.

Clever.

BUT! I was not wrong the first time. I still answered correctly. I think the OP has written the question wrong.

Will knowing the answer to this question make me better at my job or make me more money?

No?

Then why does it matter if I can't answer it?

That is my answer as well. "what is the difference between these two LINES of letters".

Got it, methinks

The letters in the top line are all made from straight lines.
The letters in the bottom line all have curves.

I think the reason kindergarteners can figure that out is because they're focusing on recognizing letters by their shapes, whereas adults are focus more on the potential meaning of the letters.

Makes the most sense to me. I'm going with your answer.

The top line is all letters composed of straight lines, and the bottom line is letters that include curves.

Also, ninja'd.

Row 1: Straight Lines
Row 2: Curves

It isn't really about intelligence either, but the way people view things. An "adult" mind sees the alphabet as letters, with context and purpose. A younger mind may only see shapes.

This, this and even more of this!
Also the fact both lines have the letters the others don't, and the fact that the top is made out of letters with straight lines whilst the other one doesn't?
Maybe?
Please?
-EDIT-
Damn I've got to read those spoiler tags before posting, I got ninja'd so much. :(
