Well anything by Nintendo will sell like hotcakes, so I guess that wins the market match, and honestly the first party stuff is always quality just might not be for everyone.
For me personally I don't like franchises, they either go bad, stale or improve at which point I don't want to look back on the old shit, so the fascination really only depends on the game itself rather then the background name.
