Most consistently successful franchise

Well anything by Nintendo will sell like hotcakes, so I guess that wins the market match, and honestly the first party stuff is always quality just might not be for everyone.

For me personally I don't like franchises, they either go bad, stale or improve at which point I don't want to look back on the old shit, so the fascination really only depends on the game itself rather then the background name.

MGS, with MGS3 and Peace Walker as the best.
And InFamous, finished IF2 on Hero last night, it was even more awesome than InFamous.

The 2 that jump to mind are Mario and Zelda. Nintendo seem to be able ro release games that aren't really that new and still have the super sucessful series. And also the half life games, all done really well and have some of the best gameplay I've seen.

My vote goes for the Elder Scrolls series. I've liked em all since Daggerfall, and Skyrim is looking promising to say the least.
