Starcraft 2.

Though admittedly I knew that it was going to be exactly the game it is before I purchased it, I was hoping the campaign might be interesting to play this time round. Still hopes that UMS will save the day again.

Today i don't think any game is worth standing in line at midnight for once it out it will always be there for the most part. Admittedly there was a time were I lacked this point of view and patience but to this day i have no idea why i stood in line for halo 3 its not that i didn't enjoy it at all I didn't play HL2 until a few months before it came out and that game just changed my whole world perspective i just couldn't understand why Halo was so popular but I'll be damned if that game didn't have one of the best marketing campaigns I have ever seen those TV ads did more for me then the actual game.

I didn't have to stand in line, but Too Human totally sucks balls. Oh well, live and learn I guess.
I actually liked *parts* of it. Customization-fun. finding new areas-fun. Beating said areas-fun, and challenging as all hell. sliding around everywhere, attacking one enemy, then attacking the one behind you without looking in one fluid motion- semi-fun, badass in retrospect. crap camera-not fun. bad controls-not fun. crap character-not fun. zombie frankenstien's monsters-definitely not fun.

I liked TP, but I got it for gamecube, so yeah...
I guess I have to say Dark Void. I loved the game, but it was too damn short.

However, to brighten up this conversation, I know one game that should be worth the wait:
Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
I am actually hoping they put a 3[sup]rd[/sup] person perspective in that game, because from what I've seen of the combat, you need to know what's around you. I don't mean the whole damn time, I just mean like that one MW2 option that allowed you to switch to a 3p view.

GTAIV, It was great at first, but the amount of cool shit they took out of it and the things they could have done really disappointed me. RDR was def worth it

feather-more why do people hate MW2 so much? I mean I can understand the multiplayer, even though I dug the multi at first because I was a css whore and tore it up. But the single player was sick first time round. I'm sure there is a whole thread about the debate over this, but I think its people who sucked at it hated it.

Super Smash Brothers Brawl, it was incredably over-hyped and I joined the ride EVERY FUCKING DAY!!! I think this went on for nearly 3 years, it's the only reason I bought the damn Wii which is a disappointment in itself I must add. I should've seen it coming once I saw Zamus in the original trailer, but who the hell knew they would fuck up the game play and make it slower just so they can stop tournaments and making it appeal to a wider audience?

Fucking hell! I'll never get over it and I'll never get hyped up for anything again.

You are the first and only person I will ever read or meet who liked any part of Too Human. Dark Void was a shockingly well made game until the very last 2 hrs of the game. They seemed like they wanted to throw in some cool set pieces but did nothing to tie it into the game. So if seemed odd to be fighting in a worm's belly out of the middle of nowhere.

LMAO! I would be mad too if I only got 1/3 of a campaign for full price, lol!
Those rumors are COMPLETELY WRONG. The campaign is just as long as Warcraft 3 or any other RTS and they tell a good story that is deep enough that they had about 6 chances to cut it off with a cliffhanger. Don't make judgements based on speculation, it's how the Iraq war started.

OT: Alone in the Dark for Wii. I had hopes that it would go back to the series' origins, but it turned out to be a completely different (and crappy) game that just so happened to star Edward Carnby. It had absolutely the worst driving controls I have ever seen in a game ever.

wow I've only pre-ordered like...one game before I think (two total now)
and bought a few full price

I'd say that I really definitely think a lot before I buy a game full price (and possibly pre-order)
except AC2, that was def a hype/whim that got me going with it

Oh so suddenly you can play as all the races? And not just the humans? I don't care how long the game is if it doesn't have all the races available for separate or even one combined campaign then its a 3rd of a game. They are just going to release the other races campaigns in either full fledge game releases or expansion packs. Either way they are making you pay more for something they should have included I mean hell they had enough time to get everything put together.

Command & Conquer 4 (didn't stand in line though). Even sticking to known venerable series isn't always such a sure bet...

Should've pre-ordered RDR instead, took me 4 bloody hours to hunt down a copy on the day it was released.

ok first off the only people you cant play in the campain are the zerg secondly the next two should be cheaper then this one since i beleave you must have this one to play them or theyll make it a battle net download. personaly i dont care that there was only one campain in this one i mean they pollished the hell out of it to make it good and it had a good story. now the only game i preordered that i was disipointed in was Gears of war 2. now understand it was a good game just wasnt long enoth and i only play computer games online.

It honestly has never come up. I have never attended a midnight release nor been willing to stand in any line to play a video game.
