Most dangerous creatures you ever saw. In a zoo doesn't count. has to be wild.

There's not really many dangerous animals around where I live. Moose maybe? Oh, I saw a bear run over the road in the rear-view mirror once.

Do taxidermy animals count?
If it's dead, it's not deadly.
Clearly you have not played the Dark Brotherhood quests in Oblivion. XD

OT: I've not only seen dangerous animals, I've seen a death or two because of them. I was at the beach once when someone caught a shark. The adults didn't keep their kids back as they tried to do whatever it was they were doing with the shark, and it killed one of the kids. He was...9-10 I think, but I don't recall what kind of shark it was.

I've almost been bitten by a gator.

I've almost been bitten by a cottonmouth.

I saw another guy get bitten by a small shark on the hand. I think it was a sand shark or something.

My dad and I caught a pygmy rattlesnake once.

Saw a coral snake that my friend's dad had caught and killed, so I guess it doesn't really count, but the weird thing was that it was in his freezer. Why? I have no idea.

Most dangerous thing I've seen is a black bear. They're not all that bad but I do remember when one bear invaded a Safeway store in the early morning and ate all the pies in the bakery. Seriously.
If that happened to me, I'd call animal control but stay the hell outside.

They're the bear's pies, now.

When I was a little kid, just around four if I remember correctly, I was attacked by a copperhead. Luckily, my grandfather was nearby and stomped it to death before it could bite me. Which makes it all the more confusing that I now love snakes.

A friend of mine's house was in-fucking-fested with Brown Recluses...I have no idea how that happened...we live in WISCONSIN for god's sake!!
That's how it normally happens. The spider is pretty much never alone, see one and you should start watching out for the hundreds to thousands more that are likely in the house.

As for dangerous...

Well its North America so just the usual.

Scorpions, bears, sharks, a couple of other sea creatures, a few spiders, rattle snakes, alligators, some missing fingers to a snapping turtle, and the occasional mountain lion are all you have to worry about. Besides a few very rare exotic invasive species that is.

There was a tiger snake in my backyard for a week.

Doesn't seem that bad until you realise i was about 6 at the time, and never really understood the danger.

My dad managed to get it with a shovel, then hte local blue tongues got the body about 20 minutes later.

Being in the English suburbs, not much. I say a badger once, but don't worry everyone, it was dead already.

Black Bear, Grizzly Bear, Bison, Moose, Mountain Lion

I woke up at 7am in the morning once to bull moose chilling right outside my tent....

And am I the only one absolutely TERRIFIED of mountain lions? They're responsible for very few actual attacks but they stalk you... constantly. If you go hiking in winter and turn around for they day you can usually see mountain lion prints in the snow. At least here in Montana...

A Barracuda swam past my face while snorkeling, found a brown recluse spider in my shoe, and a moose on my porch...

I saw a baby Copperhead sunning itself in a stream one day when I was out hiking - the babies are more dangerous then the adults because they inject ALL their venom at once when they bite - the adults know better...

Also caught a Black Widow spider when I was visting the southern US one summer

And I wouldn't consider this one that dangerous - but I saw 2 reef sharks when I was snorkeling out in Hawaii

Oh - and when I was hiking on a trail (in Hawaii as well) I came across a longhorn bull that was laying besides the trail (outside of its fenced in area - so there was no fence between me and the bull). It may be a herbivore, but that thing had big horns! Needless to say, I gave him a wide bearth and continued on my way.

Not fair writing in this thread if you are from Australia, everything there is poisonous and wants to kill you.
Here in Sweden we have the terrifying common house spider woouou (ghostly sound).
It may not be poisonous, but scary none the less!

Let me see...

I've almost stepped on a death adder.
I've been in the water with bull sharks.
I've been on a boat accost by a tiger shark.
I've been attacked by a Kangaroo (doesn't sound that bad, is actually a very bad situation).
I've stepped on a Box Jellyfish (Fortunately I was wearing shoes).
I've spotted several Saltwater Crocodiles.
I've had countless run ins with both brown snakes and red-bellied black snakes.

I'm sure there's more, but that's all that springs to mind.

EDIT: Oh christ, I'm not sure how I forgot, but I was bitten by a Spotted Wobbegong, stepped on it whilst fishing. I don't think they're likely to kill, but the bite hurt like nothing else.

You Australians seem to have an advantage over the rest of us in regard to deadly critters, but when I was in Kenya I encountered the deadly cape buffalo. The cape buffalo, known as one of the "big five", "Black Death" or "widowmaker" in Africa, the African buffalo is widely regarded as a very dangerous animal, as it gores and kills over 200 people every year. Buffalo are sometimes reported to kill more people in Africa than any other animal. Buffalo are notorious among big game hunters as very dangerous animals, with wounded animals reported to ambush and attack pursuers. What makes them dangerous, aside from their up to 900kg of furious trampling muscle, hooves, and horns, is that they are extremely and aggressively territorial. Where a lion may move on when people approach, cape buffalo males will charge.
