Has anyone gotten the Platinum Artist Achievement on Rock Band? I can beat every song on Expert Guitar except Green Grass and High Tides. However, I'm curious to know how long this achievement takes given the total song time and load time.

I think the hardest is Vanilla Crazy Cake in Portal. That is impossible.
I got that one!

To continue the trend, err...

Crackdown: Collect all the Agility Orbs?
Yeah, collecting all Agility Orbs is like finding a needle in a 30 mile square haystack...in 3 dimensions.

Ok I must say you are WRONG

Go and try Mile High Club on veteran on COD4...and most of them on that game were a *****....but Mile High Club and No fighting in the War Room where the hardest.
I thought no fighting in the war room was pretty easy. I had a lot of trouble with" The Shot".

As for Mile High Club, That was a *****.

Orange box is hard, but I eventually got most of them. I think that one of the hardest games to get all of the achievments on is the arcade game Astropop. It shouldn't be that hard, but it is! Also, Bliss island. Bliss Island? It's for kids and i have only unlocked one achievement. Nothing other than total perfection will unlock the achievments!

I found all Agility Orbs without consulting a map. You can see them from very far away, they make a sound when you're nearby and they're in plain sight unless they're really high up. I didn't have problems. Hidden Orbs, though? I did use a map, and even then it was really hard.

Crackdown had very good achievements.

Mile High Club is HARD, and I still haven't got it yet. But the hardest achievement I have ever seen is "Beating Tough Competition" on NHL08.

Basically, to get this achievement you have to go online and beat a player who is ranked in the Top 50. There are thousands and thousands of players and to even get to the stage where you might be randomly paired with a top 50 guy, you will have to put up some serious hours and be frighteningly good at the game. The other option is to try sending messages to people in the Top 50, but that's just rude. Apparently they get a lot of messages asking if they'll let other people beat them, and I can only imagine how annoying that must get. Just a ridiculous achievement, very short-sighted of EA to even include it.
Seeing I hang around the EA board it is even worse then that. Practically everyone on the top 50 list falls into the cheap or cheating category. I wouldn't know since I dislike online in sports games however from what I heard they are either real assholes or spam the same top right corner goal endlessly to win. Quite a few quit mid game if they are losing to make this achievement even more of an impossibility.

Final Fantasy XI however ranks up as the worst game on the 360 for unlocking all achievements. You are required to max every class up to 75, something that will literally take over a year to accomplish unless you play to the point you are severely jeopardizing your health.

Edit: Eh, for the Halo achievements I just boosted. Not wasting all that time of pure luck.

Heh. Someone's gotten into the Guy's Palace on Impossible now though.

Sorry to resurrect this thread with such a necro, but search found the thread so I decided not to do a new one.

Hardest achievement I've found to date is "War is Heck" in Endwar. Description: "Win five battles in a row in Theatre of War without losing health." Translation: you have to win consecutive battles against other players online without any of your units losing any of their health under their shield. All special attacks/WMD's/air strikes come directly off a unit's health, and will make the player fail this. I searched the worldwide leaderboards for a little bit: none of the best players have this one.

Kicker? It's only worth 30 points if you manage to get it somehow.

Beat DOA 4 on highest difficulty. I am serious you have to learn every combo perfectly just to possibly even think about hitting the final boss.

GTA- the one you get for killing all 200 of the pigeons on the map. I understand that with no life hours of dedication, a system for keeping track of which you've killed, and some patience, it can be done, but seriously, who wants to waste that much time on the stupid things?

I don't understand the obsession with the Mile High Club achievement, i got it in like 20 minutes *flex muscles*
The achievement that is giving the most trouble right now is the complete all campaigns on expert achievement from Left 4 Dead, I dont know, maybe its impossible in a public game?

What game has all those "be ranked 1# worldwide" achievements? Bloody hard ones...
Well, DOA4 has the achievement that you have to reach the SS rank online. Since the whole rank system they have is basically a zero sum game, it was very hard way back when and it's downright impossible now.

I think the Ninja Gaiden 2 achievements are some of the hardest. As the game is rock hard as it is but you have an achievement for going through story mode using only one weapon... but this achievement is repeated for every weapon, which there are 8! And each achievements give you a measly 5 points!

The hardest I think is in Burnout Revenge where you have to upload a video and get it ranked in the top 20 or something.
Hardest I got? Left 4 Dead killed a tank without taking any damage (note I was playing with the computers when this happened)
Edit: Well there was the SF 4 thing
