Ben Tyler, a man who couldnt get his staff to provide me with any sales leads, sent me on wild goose chases and led me to be a thousand pound in debt then fired me for incompetence.

I have since learned he took all of my commission from four sales the morning he sacked me.

So yeah he was a pretty tough boss. Only problem is I dont have a restart point just a mortgage and a car

the final boss dragon cobra shade reaper thing in The World Ends With You; I finally got used to the dual screen controls and they take my partner away and distract me with all the pretty lights...

I would have to say I experienced the toughest fights playing God of War 2 on Titan mode (I borrowed the game and I bet my friend I could be the hardest mode as my first attempt at the series.)

God damn Theseus can 1-shot you with random spawning aoe glaciers and the 2 minotaurs he summons can 3 shot you if you aren't careful while you avoid Theseus' missile attacks. Man that fight tightened my response time.

Needless to say, I felt satisfied pounding that fat bastard's head in the doorway after dieing to him for 20 hours.

But the hardest part would have to be the endurance run of titan mode. While not a boss persay, it was a 10-20minute part of the game that took me a good 70 hours at least to beat.
Christ i loved that game on titan mode, was alot of fun except for that asshole, had to kill like 15 waves of those minos in order to get enough magic to kill the asshole.

gave up after you had to protect the translator though, either give up or controller'd go through the three-thousand dollar TV that was mounted in the dorm lobbies.

EDIT: why so much difficulty on sephy in KH1? I'll admit to playing it to much when i was younger, but managed to take him down as low as level 30ish or so, any who

Yiazmat from FF12 made me want to throw my controller at the TV, but in sheer difficulty would be probably the aforementioned boss from god of war 2, or probably the second to last boss in Devil May Cry 3 on DMD difficulty, not sure why but just raped me continuously, Vergil afterward was like a breather comparably got him in only 4 tries.

Time to bump this thread, because I've been feeling the pain recently in Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor. I'm fighting Babel...first you must fight the first form which is generally two levels ahead of you. Then you fight all the major bosses in the game that lead up to Babel, then you fight the final form, which is seven levels ahead of you. The game also imposes a limit on grinding, making it almost impossible to gain levels off of enemies who are 3 or more levels below you. Son of a *****.

That would be pretty much any boss that requires some weird ass combination of damaging attacks just to hurt the boss...there's been too many.

Big Bob-Omb. It was so hard! He just walked so fast and it was so difficult to get behind him, and when he got you he threw you so far. Plus he could throw you off the mountain but you couldn't throw him off! Seriously, I don't know what they were thinking making him the first star.

Seriously though, probably Bongo Bongo. Bastard just pissed me off.

Metroid Prime 2, Boost Guardian on Hard mode.

Incredibly powerful attacks that are really hard to dodge, has periods of invulnverability, it is early on in the game so you don't have that many Energy Tanks and you lose health constantly.

After you poor blood on the cartridge and an entire weekend getting all the damn ewoks you have to fight this.....this THING. I'm a pretty good gamer i'd say, most games arent so much of a challenge as they are seeing how long it will take to beat it, but DAMNIT, took me 4 hours to beat this guy, dying OVER AND OVER AND OVER.

Post your most difficult boss encounter, lets reminisce
That entire game was hard, but not because the gamedesign itself was hard. The controls are so fucking abhorrent that I commend you for finishing it, but I have to wonder why. It wasn't rewarding and it's just frustating on so many levels.

All the bosses from Quake 4
that was the freakin most difficult game ever
Really? I didn't die once while playing on normal (even against the final boss).
You want a difficult boss, play the very first guilty gear and fight Justice. He/she is a *****.... It's literally pure luck that sometimes it won't do the most powerful kill you in one hit attack. You'll spend an hour winning one round against it, and then it will easily kill you the second round. Play Guilty Gear, I dare you.

The end boss for Gears of War 1.

Before you call noob, he got glitched and wouldn't die, we used every bullet and grenade we had, ran the chaingun over him for a good long while and didn't die. We reset, and beat him easily. That said, invincible boss, is hardest boss.

Indalecio with his limiter off from Star Ocean 2 is supposedly pretty tough, though I managed to beat him fairly easily myself. Which is kind of odd, since he creamed me multiple times with his limiter on, so...
