Naughty Bear hands down. That game was terrible.
Have to agree on that one, to be honest I forgot that I blew $$$ on it before I saw this forum, maybe after a few drinks tonight I'll be able to forget again.

Enslaved.

Had so much potential! Great voice acting, great concept, great characters, yet something about that game gave me a head ache. the awful stuttering jittery animation, low fps, repetitive enemies, General lack of exploration.

And short as all hell. SHORT it was.

Borderlands.

Christ that game blew. I was really pumped for it, but it turned out to be a massive grindfest.

Spore.
I worked for 2 weeks to get that game and the only good bit was the cell level.

Fable III
&
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II

and to make matters worse they both came out on the same day,
and to make it even worse I preordered the Ltd Ed's of both!
I did the exact same, but I enjoyed Fable 3. Star Wars on the other hand, let's just say I appreciated the crappy little USB flash drive more then the game, and I don't even use it.

FFXIV without a doubt. Doubly so because I was in the closed beta but I fooled myself into thinking that I would enjoy it at release...

Aliens Vs Predators. I went to the local gamestore and saw the amount of pre-orders for AvP (2010) and decided to place one for myself hearing how "good" it was going to be. I shouldve relied on my instincts and realised how overhyped it was. In the end, just playing for 1 day and I realised how I just wasted my money :(
I had mine shipped from the UK because it had the best available price. Naturally after having downloaded that 15gb monstrosity through Steam (at the time we had a download limit) I realised how broken and crappy it was, and wished that someone had slapped me in the face back when I preordered the game.

Kane and Lynch 2 and Alpha Protocol.

Alpha Protocol is one of the worst games i have EVER played. hands down. Its pretensions to being a deep and intriguing story and realism are hilarious

halo ODST. the campaign was 2 and a half hours long, it didnt give me the special pre-order bonus, the firefight is either too hard or too easy, you cant play with more than 2 people in splitscreen and the characters were kind of annoying.

lol, captcha was criticized.

Mass Effect 1 ... I'm not kidding :(
Is an explanation too much to ask for?
No not at all.
I played it for like 6 hours, and I didnt really like the game after 6 hours. In my book, thats not very good. I didnt like the combat system. It seemed to me like the game couldnt decide wether to be a fps or an rpg. Also I thought some of the landscapes were pretty boring. I really like that big city thing, I thought that was very pretty, and the voice acting was good too. But I just couldnt get over the combat system, I just thought that was horrible.
I'm actually a big Mass Effect fan, but I had the same impression when I started playing. I initially felt like Bioware had forgotten a lot of what made their other RPGs (notably, KOTOR) great. The difference is, within a few hours it had won me over.

Final Fantasy XIII.
And I waited since the announcement at E3 2006.

Overused answer is overused.

Epic Mickey since I don't think anyone has mentioned it.
I was pumped for it the moment it was announced, and pre-ordered two months ahead. And all I got was a broken mess.

Halo: Reach.

Nothing against any of the fans, but I've personally have never liked the series, and I keep giving these games another try.

I will say Halo: Reach was the better of this crappy series that has managed to become a poster child of console FPS games...somehow??

As for my problems with the series because I know people are going to ask. It's story is generic and dull *aliens no like us..=(*. The design of most of the guns feel and look like they're made out of plastic. MC is just a overly hyped and bloated character made for worship, and except for the elites, most of the aliens are shitty looking and one dimensional.

Oh and one more thing, brutes, grunts, elites? These are not names for alien species! Krogans, Vulcans, Hutts, Asari, Wookie, motherfucking Klingons! THESE are names for alien species! Just goes to show how much time and effort was put into the lore and design of this game where the character development never went past names used to describe their role in the game. It's like naming the bad guy "Nemesis" or "Antagonist," the comic relief as "Comic Relief," and the Protagonist as "Hero."
