The Frontier Justice in Team Fortress 2 is an unusual weapon. Some people find it great but I don't see its appeal, and my main class is Engineer.

Yup. Gonna have to agree with the Halo armor upgrades. Minor appearance differences and no redeemable difference in protections.

I always liked it, especially if I'm using the Gunslinger. You can pop out a mini-sentry, let it get a few assists and then go on a killing spree with the revenge crits once it gets destroyed. But it's not to everyone's taste. If we're going with TF2, I would probably say the Dalokohs Bar or the Vita-Saw. Both rare but pointless weapons that no one uses.

Flying mounts in WoW as a druid. Sure they look cool, but nothing really compares to being able to instantly shift to travel form.

Red tiger in MW. It looks horrible compared to blue tiger, and rarely stands out enough to even be noticed. Gold is also ugly.

Yeah, the Brutus armour....

You arrive in Rome, you can tell it was once a glorious city but when you first get there its run down and a shadow of its former self. Throughout the game you discover catacombs under the city containing symbols of the citys lost past. Roman gold, standards and even a Legionary Eagle. You also find hints about legendary armour preserved from the height of the Roman Empire and so along with rebuilding Rome you uncover more of these secrets and eventually receive........that????

I was hoping for something like the Praetorians were wearing in Gladiator. reasonably historical but still badass. Instead you get something that looks it belongs on a shaman or a hermit.

The SPAS-12 in Bad Company 1. I was encouraged, since it had better 'handling' which I translated to better reloads and lower recoil.

Nope. Less accurate, just as fast and powerful as the other guns. Not worth a buy, especially with the NeoStead 2000 costing the same, which has faster reloads and is more accurate.

Team Fortress 2's items are disappointing.

Boston Basher -- An accurate hit, or else you get injured and bled. Oh, and this is wielded by the class with the fastest melee hits.

Loch 'n' Load -- Smaller clip size, shattering bombs, you take more damage and the animations are fucking awful. All for a measly +10% damage done.

Darwin's Danger Shield -- better max health... for a class that is just around always killed by insta-kills (backstabs and headshots)

Razorback -- any Spy knows that, upon seeing this, just shoot the Sniper, they react so slowly and the revolvers are powerful.

Unlocking one of the best weapons in the game was disappointing?

On topic: Disappointed when i finished Fallout: New Vegas on hardcore and did not get anything, I thought it promised you a reward for finishing the game on hardcore?

EDIT: brainfart.

Red dot sight in Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for the sniper; why would I want to turn a really good long range weapon into a really clumsy short-range one? I can understand why someone may wish to do it with, say the Type 88, but its pretty useless on the bolt-actions.

Mortal Kombat 2011's Challenge Tower was implied to have some kind of amazing, mindblowing reward for any player that can power through all 300 floors.
The reward is a new costume for Mileena, her "Flesh Pit" duds that leave very little to the imagination.
I guess it's a great reward for some people (particularly the 13 year old boys that MK is designed to appeal to), but personally, I find it a little lacking, given what you have to go through to unlock it.

Same here, I was kinda pissed that I couldn't go back to Monteriggioni and get Altair's armor

The Waiter outfit for Raven in Tales of Vesperia. It's an okay outfitbut the pure hell that it takes to obtain it is not worth it.Really what indecisive(bolded for emphasis) bastard eats 34 turtle soups,23 parfaits, and 45 lunchboxes in one damn sitting.

This is the ADF-01 Falken. It is the hardest to unlock plane in all of Ace Combat Zero, shown here in its default paint scheme, Red overside black underside. Other unlockable paint schemes inlcude Solid black, forest camo and naval camo. There's a final paint scheme that requires beating the game on the second hardest difficulty with perfect score three different times, which unlocks
Solid black, non-glossy. It's hardly different from the first unlocked paint scheme, so it's rather disappointing to be the penultimate unlock-able special reward in the game.

What are those things you spent forever trying to get, be that by getting a perfect score or collecting something, but turned out to be useless or just plain suck?

Amen to that. I just equipped it and put random skins over it from Uplay. I unlocked quite a few. The nobleman skin is rather fun. I'm so badass people die when I put my bare hands to their throats.

The gaudy golden statue that is erected in your honour once you have paid off all your debts to Tom Nook in Animal Crossing [GC].
