Assassin's Creed - especially looking at the sequal (game looks good, but where's the continuity?)
Devil May Cry 4 - Nero needed to die
Fable: The Lost Chapters - I just didn't understand this one
The Path - Each character had awesome endings, didn't like the extra bit tacked on at the end
Super Mario Galaxy - seriously, that was just dumb

on the other end of the spectrum (ie. good endings):
No More Heroes - "too bad there wont be a sequal!" hilarious!
Bioshock - corney I know (good ending) but actually sweet, and 'badass' for the evil ending
inFamous - I have only seen the good ending, but i thought it was pretty cool, especially if you listened to all the dead drops
Prototype - it was predictable, very predictable, but the last boss was fun and Alex was still the crazy bastard who liked to grab people, run up buildings and throw them off into the distance
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time - I loved that ending, perfect way to finish the game!

This thread's been done before, but it was a while ago so I'll let you off.
Shame, really. I haven't had an opportunity to break out the "search button rant" yet.

Of course, I'm going to stick to my lazy-bugger principles and copy/paste what I wrote last time.

Assassin's Creed. Finish the final boss, get a cutscene with about as much closure as a fucking Star Wars trailer and end credits.
Leaving something open to a sequel is one thing, leaving it more open than HMV's doors during the January sales is just bloody infuriating.

On the opposite side of the spectrum, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - the "canonical" (which in LucasArts terminology is synonymous with "light side") ending, where
Yer man sacrifices himself.
Fair enough, that's a decent way to show he's redeemed himself, but they've killed off the only character that could have kept this particular sub-franchise going - unless they're planning to make a sequel involving Darth Angst...er...Vader. Or the blind guy.
NO, LUCASARTS, THAT'S NOT A SUGGESTION.

And they killed off PROXY. Tossbuckets.

I hated the original fallout 3 ending, they've fixed it now but it sucked the first time.

I always wondered what happened to that whole "200 endings" thing...

Neverwinter Nights 2 for me as well (I was gonna say it if you didn't, canadamus_prime). Seriously: rocks fall, everybody dies. Such a good game otherwise...

The newest PoP.

[HEADING=3]I had to destroy everything I worked for, just for that annoying woman! I admit, Elika was an interesting character, but why the hell should I have to choose her over the FATE OF THE FUCKING WORLD?!?![/HEADING]

I got to bring my dog back to life. The dog was awesome. Thanks to that ending, the dog is still awesome to this day. I make him pee on bandits. Therefore the ending was not bad.

Dead Space. (the following shamelessly copypasted from another thread)
You want to kill yourself to escape a horrifying fate. Ok, that I can understand. But doing it right after recording the message to your loved one, while holding the fucking syringe in your hand, and then not stopping the camera before doing yourself in, just so he can see your body slump lifelessly down? What kind of sick monster are you?!

From your post, I'll say for me, Kingdom Hearts II. I like cliffhanger endings okay. But after all that, then there's another mission from king mickey??? WTF??? They should've just ended it right there. And I knew, the second I beat it, I'm gonna have to wait like 8 years until the next one comes out aren't I.

Fuckin' Squareinx.

I would have to say Knights of the old Republic II. With such a good story and a very good predecessor, the ending pissed me off to no small end. Seemed as if they never finished the game and had to tack something there so they could release it.

KOTOR II, amazing game... lame ending. I guess it's expected though, rushing a games completion to pave the way for another is never a good option.

GTA4 either ending leads you on a revenge filled path and even after your done it doesn't bring your loved one back.
