That part was incredibly disturbing to me because i was so into the game by that point.
I would also point out moments in Prey that were disturbing as well. And most anything in games that use organic (human) parts in machinery, just something about it bothers me.
the bit in bioshock with dr. steinmen. or rasputen and garrados from re4. two of the freakiest enemies in the game. rasputen spoke less and actually threw you around a bit, meaning it was easier to take him seriously. and the garrados are just plain in your face unlike most enemies in that game who walk towards you waiting to be sho
The scene in Condemned 2 when Ethan drops down a hole in a floor and lands on an operating table only to be surrounded by various insane torture devices, some with people in them. That was horrible.
The only scene in gaming I've actually felt slightly sick watching comes up in Mafia 2 when...
... Henry gets hacked to bits by the Tongs. The screaming really made the scene, and seeing him lying there after Vito and Joe had chased the guys off really touched a nerve - best scene in the game.
ahha! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGIneP2UHM0 there ya go as ive not yet figured out how to put a vid here there is ther url just quote or reply for the backstory if nothing is understood
The end of Half life 2 episode 2.
I have never felt so sad and angry playing a game until that moment.I was screaming at the game saying "You cannot do that" and all I wanted to do was run after the thing that did it and kill it. Kill it good.
The bit that got me was the thoroughness and nonchalance of it all. They covered everyone in the airport. I went through the book shop for survivors and crouched down to look at the spazzy animation of a buisnessman, suddenly he was blown side ways. I look up and there is Lev or someone.
And that you walk the whole route, 'I'm in no hurry, no guards can kill us'.
Also, how come noone realised it was the Makarovian Ultranationalists? Lev dies and so does Kirril. How come no one realises they are Russian terrorists affiliated with an anti government organisation based in Russia?
OT: Unforgettable is these scenes from the HALO games (and one from GoW).
The best though goes to this...
Disturbing is the bit in Bioshock 2 when the daughter girl (cannae remember her name) was like all evil because I had the game on loan. I kid you not, I needed to complete it quick so I sped through and harvested all girls when I found them. Then Ellie or whatever was like a cold killer.
In Fable II I was going on an evil run through the game, and I was at the mission where you massacre Oakville. As I was shooting the villagers, who fell pretty much instantly, the whole feel of it reminded me of some footage I remember some murderers took. Scarred for life.
