Kratos forces a slave girl to hold up a heavy gate mechanism. Then, as you walk through the gate you hear her getting crushed.

Seriously Kratos, that was so not cool.
Hear? I WATCHED her get crushed (You can you know). I was disappointed in Kratos for not banging her beforehand doing that though.

Wow 1st post haha, not sure if this was mentioned but mine was in Mass Effect 2 during Zaeed's Loyalty mission when choosing the Renegade slant. What really bothered me was the sounds of the refinery workers burning alive in the other room, just hearing the screams like that was something I've never heard before in a game, crazy stuff

In FFXIII Snow grabbed Serah's arm...I know. But he was wearing leather gloves and he's SO much bigger than her his glove made it sound like he had cracked her phalanges. Me and my mom didn't say anything, we just looked at eachother and laughed.

That or when Ashley blew Wrex's brains out while I was trying to talk him down. I was swearing at her for minutes after that.

Also, the Shalebridge Cradle level in the last Thief game had me playing it from behind the couch.

These are all good, and I recognize many of them. But seriously...

NO ONE'S MENTIONED F.E.A.R 2's ENDING?! That is the most disturbing (in the truest sense of the word) thing that has EVER crossed a video game. Yes, Pyramid Head in Silent Hill 2 was disturbing. Silent Hill 3 made it hard for me to sleep some times. Dead Space's monsters are disgusting. The Suffering had those weird...things. None of that compares to F.E.A.R 2's ending. None of it.

Most unforgettable...hm. For me, either Half-Life 2 Episode 2's ending or the nuke in Modern Warfare. Aeris would have been it if someone hadn't spoiled if for me before I got to that part.
GEAR 1 was fucking terrifying, especially alone. Heres mine, I literally almost broke my tv.

and this one, holy shit

I can't believe no-one's mentioned Crimson heads, when one of those mu'fuckers opens a door behind you and chases you down 3 corridors because you're out of ammo you really start to panic.

Honestly I think something is wrong with me, because honestly I cant think of anything that disturbed me or stuck with me in that way. Even looking at the referenced instances, I really didnt find anything abnormal or shocking.

Im surprised no mention for Mother 3 or the ending of 5-3 in Demon souls. Neither bothered me, But there fairly well known for supposedly being disturbing.

Banjo Kazooie when I was a kid. Man, that beach level with the sharks messed me up for pretty much all future water-levels. It took me about ten minutes of being underwater in MH3 before I got used to it, then what? Lagi-Freaking-acrus!!! Admittedly, the water in MH3 did wonders for my bruised-water-level-psyche. In the "Now I can fight back, water-beasts!!! Raaawrrr to you too, you bastard!!!" way.

resident evil 4 the boss fight in the cargo boxes something about that was unnevring because unless you had played through more than once or were a god the first time you played that fight drained you of ammo health and patience. and salazars right hand monster fight was pretty freaky

The entire second chapter in Sanitarium. I mean, the entire game is pretty f***d up, but that chapter really takes the cake.

In the beginning of the chapter, you are transported by an angel statue to a village where all the grown-ups have misteriously disappeared, and all the children are disfigured and are apparently becoming more and more plantlike - there's even a little girl who was "planted" on a pumpkin field and had her eyes ripped out for being nasty, if I remember correctly.

They all say they are being taken care of by something they call "Mother", which is revealed to be a vegetal lifeform from outer space who killed all the adults - and hid their mangled bodies in the school - to "save" the children from them. It's even hard to blame "her", because during the course of that chapter you find out one of the little girls has been beaten to death by her own father, which was what made Mother take action.

Bonus creepy scene: you are challenged by a group of kids to a hide-and-seek contest and have to find them all, including their "champion". Turns out that champion is the little girl who was killed, and you have to dig out her corpse to win the challenge.

But seriously, don't read the above spoiler if you haven't played the game, go play it instead. Seriously.
