I'm going to beat the "L2 use search button nub" people to it on this one. I did run a search and found a thread about excuses that was posted in January of this year. Seeing as the thread is long dead and we're in early July, I feel the statute of limitations on similar threads is up. If you have something to say about it please keep it to yourself so the thread can stay clear

My sister is a compulsive liar constantly giving the absolute worst excuses and lies for stuff she does. Her latest and absolute worst one to-date is that her friend is getting married to a race car driver who wants to move her friend and her friend's brother to California and that's she's bought a plane ticket out there to help her move.

If you're not reading that and thinking "bullshit" to yourself I advise you get your head examined. With an excuse and lie so flimsy the thought popped into my head of what are some of the more elaborate lies and excuses other people have heard over the years?

Don't be shy about it, remember "What happens on the internet, usually makes its way over to youtube"

Errr... sorry to burst your bubble but I actually made one like this maybe 3 weeks ago, about lies and junk.

The washing machine did it. You may not think its elaborate now but some day you'll be using it.

I had a friend when I was 8 who insisted his uncle was a particular famous stock car driver. And that a couple times his uncle let him sometimes ride with him or drive instead of him. We were 10...

Now, that I'm done with that...

*waits for invitable joke about religion to pop up*

But you think 5 a day refers to Threads and not Fruit :D

Anyway, my most elaborate one was for being 15 minutes late to a Maths lesson. It started off with zombies attacking me on my way to school and ended 2 minutes later with me playing Lead Guitar in a band with Thor. Luckily my teacher had a sense of humour and let me off.

I am not as bad as that Spindler guy from yesterday, he was just posting a sentence... it had no conversation potential?!? Not even obscure potential! :0

Having been a substitute teacher, I heard so many lies by children it's staggering.

I remember one in particular who was bragging to me about how he had driven his cousins car and made handbrake turns and whatnot. He is 12 years old. I was thinking, "yeah, right, tell me more". And he kept on going how he made cool moves in the car and so on.
