Everyone was telling me how Toy Story 3 made them cry out their eyeballs, only to have nothing that sad actually happen. I thought one of them would at least die! Man that film did nothing for me.

You want an emotional kids film? Try Iron Giant!

Also worth noting are Gran Torino and Million Dollar Baby. The latter bummed me out in a huge (but good) way. Also if anyones seen a korean film called The Host, it quite a sad yet sweet ending that contrasts to the tongue in cheek nature of the rest of the film.
I think the real kick comes from thease charachters...whom of your the target audience (I really really think it was aimed more at those whogrew up with toy story)

you know thease charachters, you love thease charachters youve seen them go through the highs and lows.....and now the end has finally come, thats some serious shit

watching them go through the torture of the younger kids its quite painful...and think about it, it shows how horrible a toys existance is (if they are sentinent)

and in the end SPOILERS

I mean seriously dont tell me you didnt think even for a split second (oh shit they going to die...this IS the end)

but I mean in the real end andy lets them go and essentially lets go of his childhood, and in a sense if your a specific age group (like me) you have also said goodbye to your childhood, and your saying goodbye to thease charachters and toy story as
Actually i just thought the ending was a huge cop out. Saying goodbye to your childhood is nothing compared to some of the other scenes people have talked about here.

Also I didnt find the ending emotional at all, all i could think of is how creepy Andy is to have these sort of attachments to childrens toys at his age. I mean seriously i think i stopped playing with toys at maybe 12? Hes going to fuckin college!
well....theres not really any other way I can explain it

also Andy doesnt "play with toys" he had his most sentimental ones lying around...thats what happens untill you eventually move or what ever as in my case I never played with them but I held onto them out of nostalga

dont feel sentimetal for your toys?
