Most Epic Ending

The original Bionic Commando had a pretty epic ending at the time, you know, with shooting Hitl...er...Master D with a bazooka and all.

Other than that.

Secret of Mana had an ending that felt epic and sad.

Final Fantasy VI had an epic ending as well, and all in all was supposed to be something like 30 minutes long, which is crazy for a cartridge.

For films I'd have to say the Dark Knight, Commissioner Gordon's lamentation at the end is delivered perfectly, also Battle Royale 2 has a really good ending, the new Doctor Who series finales are also pretty epic and the Tourchwood mini series actually left me emotianly drained afterwards.
As for games it would be Mass Effect, Hitman Blood Money, Gears of War 2 had an awesome ending as well

DOn't hate but seriously.. ff7. Like it or not, for it's day that was a pretty damn epic ending. Still longer then most games today.
