I'm usually really good with money... at least in real life, where I'm stingy until something good comes up.
But in games? Man, I usually save up all my money for seemingly no reason. Though usually that's because most times you get currency you're playing some form of RPG, which always means that give yourself a few levels and everything you just bought has become completely obsolite.
I remember one time recently in Final Fantasy XI, though. I finally bought myself a specific dagger that was really good that I probably should have bought YEARS ago. And then as soon as I bought it, they raised the level cap (after 7 years of not ever doing so, go figure) and it became worthless again. Replaced by-- get this-- a dagger you get free of charge! And not only that, but it upgrades with each increase to the level cap so once you buy it once you're set for life.

I remember being excommunicated in Medieval 2 Total War. I spent my amassed millions paying the Papal States off, and they finally accepted me back and got all their ***** friends to stop attacking me...only to attack me themselves with the millions of gold i gave them...
Either that time i bought a Pandaren Monk+Lil' K. T. mini pets from the WoW Store, or in a case of ingame currency; the time i used around 1m-1.4m+ meat to aquire a Zombie Pineal Gland on the Kingdom of Loathing....didnt buy the Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot head, since i wanted the recipes on my list too, to add to the total of unique crafted items for a trophy.
All of the classified primary guns in B.O. after grinding a bit dealing with the bs that is the multiplayer just to buy all of the guns just to buy one gun and it not even be worth my time I rage quitted from the pre-lobby.
