Probably the only frustrating moment of a game that I haven't been able to circumvent eventually that isn't a final boss is St. Germain from Castlevania: Curse of Darkness. You simply don't have enough antidotes for all of the times he poisons you, and that self-healing and time-stopping thing gets really effing annoying, even when you have the Innocent Devil that is supposed to counter it.

When I was a kid, I never could make that long jump in Super Mario Bros. level 8-1(i think).

Top Gun after like level 3 or 5, something like that.

It's kind of funny, I could go on, but all the moments for me happened back in the day. Not too many challenging games any more it seems.

The TV-station level in CoD4 after a million tries on Veteran, there's always something

That or the little mistake that ruins a perfect assassination in Hitman

I remember one part in Okami where you had to cross a river by cutting logs or some such thing. I believe I woke up the entire neighborhood with my copious strings of expletives.

Beating Freya on Guitar hero II on hard when i was a kid was so difficult that it made me cry, partly from the wanker cramp i had after not giving up after 50 times but also because that was the first time a game seemed to laugh at my face telling me that i sucked :(

The red baron mission on GTA SA, when you pilot a model plane and kill people with a fuel limit. I just whiped out all of your competition, Zero, so what if there wasn't enough fuel to make it back, we'll just go pick it up. Also, screwing something small up on Hitman when everything else has been executed perfectly and blowing everything.

EDIT: Forgot Battletoads!!!! That god-f*cking-damned driving level.
Aparently its virtually impossible on the ps2 version, slightly easier on the pc. ive come so close only to run out of fuel in sight of the building...gah! makes me want to throw the speccy git off the roof on to a pile of something sharp and jagged. or explosive.

That's the only game I could think of when I saw this post! Surely it has to go down as THE most frustrating part of any game! Why would they do that?! No, why would they ALLOW that?! I almost find it more shocking that I actually kept TRYING!

Moments ago when my Deus Ex glitched and I'll have to play it all again because I only keep one save file.

When I found out that you couldn't wear any other headgear while wearing the unstickable Jack of Blades mask in Fable.

Speederbike courses in Battletoads

Seriously, that's not fun, even on an emulator. I just mashed Quicksave and Quickload a million times to get through it.

"Phins Get A Win" Madden moment

Josh McCown has a pus-arm and can't throw it accurately beyond 6 yards, Ronnie Brown is a decent back, but the offensive line sucks too bad to let him get much further than the line of scrimmage, and the receivers drop 50% of passes that I manage to get to them, and couple that with the fact that they only run their routes properly about half the time.

ok frustrating moments in gaming..
medusa heads,
getting pummeled to a pulp in any classic side scrolling game while sandwiched,
not being able to swim in GTA games,
I wanna be that guy,
invisible jumps (you know when you have to land on an offscreen platform...,
the way lara jumps in tomb raider...(not straight forward),
campers,
medusa heads,
clipping issues
time based missions with a very short amount of time,
Bad Squad AI,
bad games in general...
losing your save games.
did I mentioned medusa heads?

I actually found that if you time it right you can attack him constantly and it will keep him off balance. I brought a fairy that either has the antidote ability or the proboscus fairy's status cure, helped make those antidotes stretch farther.
