GH:III, All expert songs I can manage... except Fire and the Flames. 100 tries at least... and still cant get past the intro. Almost broke the controller because the Green Fret stopped responding once.

i can't beleive no one said RROD yet. For me nothing out frustates (is that a word?lol) the water temple in Ocarina of time. My friend literaly threw his gamecube down his stairs after haveing to ajust water levels for the hundreth time.
I think the water temple is one of the classic places of frustration becuase of it's difficulty.

That said, I think the 7th level in Myth:The Fallen Lords (made by bunjie when they were doing mac games). I'd stop an offensive cold and start moving my way up the mountain only to have a freaking single trow come and kill EVERY SINGLE MEMBER of my party forcing a restart.

A trow is basically a stone giant. he one shots anything except for forest giants. And myth was a strategy game where you didn't crap out units, you used what you got and you LIKED it!

When the game freezes and you havent saved in over an hour. I know people have mentioned dying and have not saved recently, but when the game freezes its so much worse cause theres literally nothing you couldve done to prevent that haha

Guitar Hero 3. I was playing One on expert. Got 98% of the way through and then failed. I almost snapped my guitar controller in half.

Playing just a standard round of Call of Duty 4 when a clan hops on is fairly bad. I would consider myself to have above average skills in that game, but the rampant destruction and frequent death that happens when a well organized and skilled team takes the field makes me quit the game in short order. Actually, that happens a LOT in online FPS games and it's always annoying (The worst was tribes when your entire base would be destroyed, you'd have heavy armors camping all the spawn points and they didn't have the decency to even cap your flag enough times to win.)

Also, any stealth based game since thief. Doesn't matter which one - they all frustrate me because as far as I can tell I'm required to play through segments again and again in order to basically memorize patrol routes, timing, camera placement, infiltration/exfiltration routes etc. Hitman executed stealth well I suppose in the sense that stealth was more or less optional, and if all else failed you could always just shoot your way in.

Casually playing through Silent Hill Homecoming and then I get to the attic puzzle...

...

...an hour later and I STILL haven't solved the stupid thing! I'm not stupid or anything and am usually good at solving puzzles but this thing was bloody impossible! And the worst part about it was that it didn't reset, so if you screwed it up badly (like I did) you couldn't just leave the room and let it reset. WHY!? Why did they have to make it unresetable?? >.<

Eventually I just reset the game and played through to the puzzle again and beat it with a walkthrough.

Ino the first time you play Guilty Gear X2 through arcade mode. I was up for like 2 hours with a blood vessel ready to burst before I beat her, got to the point where it wasn't fun but I NEEDED to see the ***** on the floor before I could sleep.
Yay for instant kills. Only beaten her once without them, and it was with Ky (which is my back-up char, but my main, Chipp is just way too weak against her)

Doesn't your game autosave whenever you enter the building?
(For the person talking about dieing in Fallout 3 and forgetting to save.)

yeah, cept if you, say, are running in a big area with lot's of monster OR just traveling the Wasteland and get halfway across the map only to be gang-beat by a bunch of raiders, then u end up where you last saved.

I think I will quote myself directly from another thread I posted in earlier today:

I suppose I'd have to say COD:WaW on Veteran (of course) when I had 8 or 9 grenade warning indicators on my screen at once, in all directions. Obviously, that only lasted for about a second. That's some serious bullshit though, because there's absolutely no way to escape that, the game just decides "Okay you lose now" and it's not like I got myself into some bad position, I was just playing the game normally, so it wasn't my fault.
