I remember when I was twelve when Shadow of the Colossus first came out, my friend and I started at 8:30 PM and finished it at 4:15 AM. We were both at the point where everything made us laugh hysterically, which made the final colossus awesome! We still have a sense of accomplishment from that night, lol.

Me and a bud beat Call Of Duty: Black Ops on veteran our first time playing. We were so PISSED. We wasted 50 lives on the Vietnam level.

Getting the Vidmaster achievement on Halo 3. Can't remember the name, but it was the one where you had to finish the last level on ghosts with four people. And use the Iron skull (for the uninitiated: if anyone dies you get send to the last checkpoint, and the last level is a bunch of falling floors)
Took us four hours.

Though I may be remembering that wrong and suppressing the frustration that occurred.

...Maybe it was just beating legendary co-op. That was fun.

Beating TMNT Turtles in Time on the SNES when me and my friend were both 7.

Those were the days.

Portal 2's co-op brought me and my sister together. With science.

I also played LEGO Star Wars 1&2 with my sister, and that was fun.

Um, Scott Pilgrim the game was fun to play...

A week or two ago, I was at a lan party with my friends.

We were playing Killing Floor and we got a mod that allows up to 50 players, which also increases the difficulty for each extra player. There were 13 of us.

The final round was absolute hilarity as we each got picked off one by one by the Patriarch. In the end, the last man picked up my AA-12 and killed it with like 6 hp.

Before the local anime club changed venues, we had a gaming night where they'd bring in a few tasty ideas on what to play with and we would. Two instances come to mind for this on the 'good times' counter.

The first was one of the DBZ games. I don't remember which it was and it doesn't actually matter. What DOES matter is that we were laughing like hell at the original corny dubs as everyone took turns going through story mode. My god, what ham! So, it comes up to the battle of Goku VS Frieza and I take the controller. I don't have this system, I don't have this game, I don't actually know how to control the damn thing except from watching the others. As far as fighting games go, not bad. I'm trading blows and blasts with the computer, making it pay for every inch and it - being Frieza - being somewhat bullshitty. Last fraction of my health, I'm clambering to break through defenses when "WHAT THE SHIT?!" I suddenly and randomly stumble onto a massive uber-blast that finishes the bastard off! It's like a Coop moment, hitting "Five minutes 'till the end of the episode" button. (Makes sense, since it WAS Namek going boom and stuff. Funny shit that night. We had fun laughing it up and making the usual DBZ jokes.

The other one is about Castle Crashers. You know, that weird-as-hell game made by Newgrounds, where random weirdness seems to just pop out of nowhere. I don't know the actual story - if any - behind this lot. I go to Newgrounds, but not for that. All I know is, I have a sword, a bow, and a special attack. Go wild. And so, I do. And so does anyone who comes in and out, passing controllers around as need-be. Party game, right? Right. The first thing is, of course, we dunno what that big black thing with the bulging eyes is that keeps coming after us. No clue. Again, I'm on Newgrounds and this game references like...the whole site almost. No idea. No matter. Here's the scenario. Chase scene on a coach, dealing with random bad guys and the big black thing shows up behind us with laser vision. So, we do battle and one-by-one, three Crashers down, and nothing's left but one girl using a Gray Crasher. Here's a clincher that girls have got game, the proof. She is all alone against this thing and random enemies on a coach with the Crasher whose great power beyond a sword and arrows is MORE FLIPPING ARROWS. No fire, no ice, no Green Lantern energy...just arrows, about as generic as you get. She slowly, but surely, pegs off this black beast bit-by-bit. Because you had to hit it right when the beam is charging and she has the timing down. We're all cheering her on and SHE MAKES IT! The beast goes down and we move on to the next part of the game. Great epic victory moment.

I played Army of Two with a friend, we loved every minute. That's a game that's no fun solo, but a total blast in co-op.

When I was a kid, my grandfather played through TMNT: Turtles in Time with me in its entirety. Good times.

More recently... hmmm... been a lot of co-op stuff lately. Not all of it good though. I'd have to say Crackdown and Saints Row 2 were probably the most fun.

I played them both with the same friend, and we have a habit of just going off the game's story paths in sandbox games and doing whatever we want.

Spent hours in Crackdown just trying to kill each other and throwing cars around. The best kills were the ones that weren't expected. I recall we used to help each other with the hidden orbs, reporting whenever we found one so that the other could claim it too. There was one in a small room under a bridge that I found, so I told him about it. Not before filling the room with remote mines though. He went into the room, but nothing but fire came out.

Ahh... friendship.

Castle Crashers- We had so many play-through's it wasn't funny. And every time, we always had a new theory to the story.
Portal 2- I enjoyed the parts where GLaDOS would compliment me, and would insult my sister!

I think it was just playing Halo 3 on legendary. It was me and two other friends. It was fun just because we'd mess around a lot. Sometimes just to piss off each other.

A buddy and I took turns running a character all the way through the single-player campaign of Hellgate: London only to have the game freeze just as the last sliver of health was about to come off the final boss. Reloading a previous save led to the same freeze. We were rather put out. Good thing we can laugh at ourselves.

Playing through the Halo Reach campaign with a friend.
He was so mad that a girl was doing better than him. Even have a text saved from that night of him ranting about it. :D

Beating, it has to be Portal 2.

However, a honorable mention goes to Magicka. While I wasn't able to finish it with friends, it is easily the most fun I've had in "co-op" with friends. Go check out Total Biscuit and Yogscast game play videos to understand what I'm talking about. Granted, my friends were slightly more useful than TB's friends.
