The characters from BF: BC 2, while maybe a bit archetypal, were pretty funny, as was Portal's Glados, DA: O's Oghren, Mass Effect's Joker, and Jak and Daxter's Daxter.

No-one has ever even come close to HK-47, for me. That character is hilarious and awesome on so many levels.

Jeff "Joker" Moreau and Urdnot Wrex from the Mass Effect games are both brilliant, as is HK-47 from Knights of the Old Republic, and Scorch and Sev's interactions from Star Wars: Republic Commando put them right up there too.

Personally, I hate characters like Nathan. My favorite game char would be Sten from Dragon Age. He looks like the tough bad ass that never smiles and never talks too much, but his soft side is there too. Not to mention he likes cookies and kittens! And Shale, she kicks ass too. Fuck it! I love every party member from Dragon Age!
