Most immersive game you've ever played?

Title says it all, I can't expand on it much, but what is the game that sucked you in and milked you for all the time you had? What game made you play every second with enthusiasm and delight?

Mine? Why, I believe mine was Resistance: Fall of Man. I wouldn't say it was one of my favourite games ever, it was just one of the ones that made me want to play for every second of every day.

Second place goes to Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare and an honourable mention to Medal of Honour: European Assault.

Thief 2, easily. Well... actually maybe the first Thief because I played that first. When I completed the first level I didn't keep going, I just reloaded it and played it again because I couldn't believe how awesome the game was. I still can't.

Resistance ey? I enjoyed Resistance, but I wouldn't say Immersive...

I'd say... Well Doom3 was pretty immersive..
Um... but as for most immersive...

Valkyria Chronicles is one i was Very Immersed in, but i enjoy reading, Bleach: 3rd Phantom was another one i really liked

Quite honestly I didn't like Bioshock, I wasn't following the plot or anything, because it wasn't very interesting to me, and I think the moral choice thing was very flat.
I don't know why, Bioshock was NOT my thing. If it was a bit more horror focused, then I would have enjoyed it a LOT more.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R clear sky had me by the balls all the way though. Also I'd say half-life 2 epi 2

Fallout 3 and Chrono Cross was quite immersive.

Fable 1. I couldn't let go of the game for months.There was just something about its world that kept me playing.

I got fully immersed in The Witcher. Then I picked up Mass Effect one day and was immersed in that, hopefully i'll be even more in Mass Effect 2 next week.

It completely ate my life for a month or two.

Any 3D zelda game gets most of my waking hours until I've beaten it at least twice. Every game in The orange box has sucked me in completley too.

And to hark back to ye olden days i spent many an afternoon in multiplayer goldeneye, probably hundreds of hours.

Thief2, because it is just so full of awesome.

System Shock 2 - oh the terror

Condemned 1 - oh bleeding bloody blimey he's after me !

And several others.. amon them STALKER.

Least immersive game so far: Chaser.

Though playing the co-op missions on COD:MW2 got me giving orders & timing shots with the person I was playing with, which is quite impressive.
