Big the Cat from the Sonic the Hedgehog games. Infact, Plenty of support characters from those games.

Pretty much everybody in Half-Life 2. Stop praising me, dammit! It's annoying! And stop telling me to reload, I'm using my fuckin' crowbar!

I liked Navi...

OT: My vote goes to Jack from ME2. I really didn't like her character. I thought she was irritating and stuck up. Maybe she could actually make some friends if she pulled the giant stick out of her backside.

Alyx Vance from Half Life 2 is a feat of a character. She somehow manages to be the worst shoehorned in love interest (With a character who we have no evidence of being anything more than a floating pair of hands), worst token minority, worst tagalong sidekick (When the sidekick is actually in gunfights and you need to keep them alive), and lifetime achievement.

Any of the survivors you have to escort in Dead Rising...not including the ones you can give back rides to, they are ok cause you don't have to wait around for them for forever...
Yeah, have to agree with this. It's so annoying trying to rescue people who have minds that work like this:
"Gee, there's a horde of zombies over there but they are about forty feet away and pose no real threat.... I should totally run right into them and beat them all up with my fists."
It does get annoying after a while.

Also must give mention to Dom from Gears of War 1. Not his character just the way the AI moves around in battle. Case in point when me and him are battling the Kryll and Dom just leaps into the darkness and dies and causes the game to have to restart. I swear all he can do is roll into the dark and get killed in that level and if he leaps in the right spot I can't revive him so the level is over.
It gets annoying pretty quick.

The Adoring Fan from Oblivion. I so wish he would shut up for once.
Take him into an oblivion gate, kill him, then seal the gate, he won't spawn anymore

But I'd have to say Rise in persona 4, every fucking turn is
SKWEEEL! SENSEI THAT WAS AWESOME

DO NOT WANT.

I remember that sorry bastard from mech assault 2. I also remember Korn playing the final boss song, so that evened things out.

Normally I'm pretty tolerant of support characters, but I've never wanted one to die as badly as Vanille. Nothing fancy. Just falling off one of those endless bloody platforms in FFXIII would suit me fine. (She did once, but she had one of those grav-bomb safety nets, so she survived. So disappointing.)

Pandora from GoW 3. She was irritating and denser than Mount Olympus. "Kratos, you can save me! I know you will!" There is a girl who has NOT been paying attention for the past few games.

Kreia. You knew she was evil. She talked evil. She acted evil. I knew she was going to betray me--she even all but said so! Yet the stupid railroad plot meant I couldn't do anything about it, or get rid of her. I didn't care about her advice, I knew what I was doing, yet she just wouldn't leave me alone. (Plus she kept getting between me and Atton. Boo.)

Zeke (or whatever his name is) from inFamous. I'm a superhero; he's a couch potato. Yet he can run just as fast as I can and has time to arrive wherever we're going and get his unfunny wisecracks going. Argh.

All the imps from Overlord II. They were a lot funnier in the original Overlord; in the sequel you were actually expected to deploy them with some strategy. These are crazed, giggling imps who wear saucepans and bras on their heads. Not so big with the tactics.

...And Hercules from RoTA. Thick as a brick sandwich with concrete filling, and your basic Captain Obvious. Gahhh.

In the first SOCOM: Navy Seals. Boomer. I killed him. I'm serious. I'd just shoot him in the back of the head at the start of every level. He was that annoying.

I guess technically Ivan from Golden Sun is a support character since he is not the player's character. Ivan was a weak good for nothing Jupiter adept(though he was slightly useful because he had party buff spells) outshone in 9001 ways by Sheba in Golden Sun: the Lost Age.
I completially agree.

Jupiter Adepts were all but useless in Golden Sun. I avoided the entire issue by making my final party consist of Issac, Felix, Jenna, and Garret. Occasionally I would use Mia or Piers, but the only thing the Jupiter Adepts got to do for the entire second half of The Lost Age was equip exploration Psyenergy items and act as storage space. While some of their spells were OK, they just couldn't dish out enough damage in a boss fight. It also didn't help that neither Ivan or Sheba were very essential to the plot compared to Felix, Issac, and Jenna.

A few other really annoying supporters are your main contact in Mercenaries 2 and your Operator in Armored Core: For Answer. The first was more repetitive than a parrot, and the second would remind you every time you got within 500 yards of the arena edges. Neither were helpful in the least...
