because there flipping awesome the only problem with the ones that i played were they were to short. and there random happiness is so good

Well, that they are flipping awesome, but still, how many other people actually think that they are the best ever? Did the games as a whole impact the industry in any way? The only thing I saw them do was get a bunch of guys into jpop.

Much as i hate the Wii, nintendo were once a good gaming company, and you have to give their game series' credit. Zelda, Mario, Pokemon, Star fox they're all hugely influential titles and series.

Nobody mentioned Pokemon? Not my personal favourite but it's held its own against the ravages of time.
