The most memorable cartoons from my childhood are Animaniacs, Batman:TAS, Ren and Stimpy, Doug, and anything that was on Nickeloden in the 90's.

Ren and Stimpy easy. That series is still utterly incredible, especially if your in to animation.

The one i was most fond of, apart from spiderman, was a short lived zorro cartoon. i loved all of the other more commonly known cartoons, but when i was really young, and would get up at 6 oclock in the morning, sneak downstairs, and watch zorro, it was just me, it was my thing, that i didnt have to share with anyone else

Thundercats.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Looney Tunes.
Duck Tales/Darkwing Duck.

They are some other, newer and better cartoons... but I don't include them as part of my childhood.

There are too many to name, a number of which I still own and watch, but the one that probably stands out at the very top would be Digimon.

Well, my family never owned any sort of cable or satellite TV, and I've always been pretty nocturnal, even when I was a kid. On the rare occasion that one of our 20ish channels did show cartoons, it was only once a week (saturdays) and always in the mornings, so I always missed them. I saw a bit of pokemon, and eventually I got some VHS tapes with the first-season episodes on them. I loved that series, and I still like pokemon today - the games don't even entertain me anymore, but I still get them, simply for nostalgia's sake. In a childhood that only exposed me to pokemon and the boringness of real life, it's easy to see how one could develop fanboyism.
