1) final fantasy, so many great moments - my favourite would have to be the opening scene to FFX, with that awesome tune playing (Otherworld)

2) startcraft terran missions, terran theme music + introduction to the zerg. best theme music ever

3) starting your first character on world of warcraft, on a high population server (preferrably a new server for more populated noob zones).

Rayman: First time breaking open a cage of those small things. I was all like ''AWWW!!!''. Then they would fall into a puddle of water and die. :C

Diablo 2: Finding my first evar set-item. Oh the joy. I had to wake my brother and show him.

Half-Life: The opening train ride and starting up that super-portal thingy in the begining, along with the first ever headcrabs.

Half-Life 2: Revealing the SUPERULTRA GRAVITY GUN OF BLACKHOLE MAGIC AND SHIT to a 13 year old sugar-jacked kid is not a good idea. I went Rambo on they asses. :D

Silent Hill 2: Nothing to do with the game, but what happened at the time. I was playing along all fine one night with my girlfriend (she ADORES the SH-games), you know, nothing special. We would often do it, just sit in the gloom of the tv in her room and play it, just for fun. But as I was playing, she tackled me over in the bed we were sitting in, and she started to kiss me. <3

Call of Duty 4:Modern Warfare - Can't choose just one moment, so I have to say the levels 'Crew Expendable' and 'Game Over' were simply phenomenal.

BioShock - the first fifteen minutes or so, and the events that happen at Rapture Central Control were all just jaw dropping.

Half Life 2 - That first level is simply mind blowing IMO. The opening bit at the train station just sucked me in immediately.

-Listening to Dolby Stereo on my PC when I first played Wing Commander IV.
-During my first month of playing World of Warcraft, running up to Ironforge for the first time and seeing gryphons flying in and out of the city.
-L4D: Making it to the escape vehicle for the first time (My first two completed campaigns I was left behind by the bots), and then later, when I knew it in my bones there wasn't a chance I would make it when I was on my last legs, and yet I made it.
-Installing X-Wing (if memory serves, was 5 or 6 3.5" discs) and later completing it, making it the first game I ever completed. That was my favorite series of all time, from X-Wing to X-Wing Alliance. I especially loved the opening cinematic of XW:A.

For me it would have to be Both the Intro and Ending to Advent Rising (they should finish it, i wanna know what happens dammit),
the ending to the first Otogi (still havent beaten that boss but the poetry/incatation is awsome),
My favorite Character evar Jolee Bindo from Kotor,
Listening to Stevie Wonder at 4:30 AM playing Diablo 2 and killing Diablo with my NecroSummoner wielding a runeworded Sledgehammer,
and last but not least in Okami when you defeat the boss for the first time you think you have won and the boss is like "Fuck that shit" and pile-drives you into the ground.

Oblivion: It may very well have been said, but after blindly lurching around the sewers and tunnels for 10 minutes at the start of Oblivion, I actually dropped my jaw when I walked into the beautiful, sunny world.

Left 4 Dead:
kinda lame, but my first game was with friends offline, on Death Toll. boathouse, we were stupid and ditched the house and tried to hold the dock for about 10 minutes. hemmed in by a horde, i notice that zoey's dead (I'm Francis, my friend is Bill). with my autoshotty and melee, And with the help of good ol' Bill, I get back on the dock. unfortunately, there's a smoker lurking behind the dock, and it pulls me back into the water. Bill again saves me. Louis is down. Oh shit. A tank. Deciding that Bill is more likely to survive, I run towards it and get its attention. After some sparring, I end up downed in the water, tank flailing at me. I manage to down it with my pistols right before I die, as Bill leaps onto the boat, a good 30 zombies clawing at his ankles, on his last bar of health.
